Living conditions need improvement

Bedding was not clean. Living area furniture not clean and outdated. Draperies out dated not clean and didn’t cover the windows. Carpet out dated in bedroom. Insufficient dishware. Freezer on fridge would not stay closed.

A few problems

Floors were dirty, the entire place smelled moldy and I discovered what appears to be black mold under the bottom of the kitchen counter. And everytime I walked out to go to the elevator, I smelled the odor of Marijuana. TV remote in the bedroom didn't want to work, freezer door came open everytime we shut the refrigerator door,furniture, towels, and linens were damp due to the air being off. For the price I paid for this place I expected it to be a lot better especially considering there were no amenities like in the regular rooms at the Carolinian. So disappointed.

Our time at this property was amazing. The layout was exactly what we needed.

My 8&9 year old and myself had an amazing time during our stay m. Everything was very homey and the extras in the unit were a nice touch as well. The only thing that was not helpful was the set up of the pool and hot tub. It’s inside like mentioned but the wall and panels aren’t completely closed in so the weather is a big factor in how much you’re allowed to enjoy the lazy river pool and hot tub. But please understand that is the only thing I have to say that could be considered a con other than that my family and I will definitely be booking again. The property owner was very responsive and supportive and that was a relief being a single parent. Again I would highly recommend this property to my friends and family☺️

"Carolibian 731: Love at First Sight!"

My wife and I knew the weather was going to be COLD! Soon after we entered the condo, we fell in love with it...So clean,So comfortable, So spacious, So EVERYTHING positive. No one could have scripted a better/nicer accommodation...ABSOLUTELY wonderful! Our ONLY "situation" we experienced was having to leave one day early because of winter storm Izzy ( and that was NO fault of Carolinian 731). Gotta go, so bottom line: we are ALREADY atarted planning a return visit...NOTHING short of an 8-day 7-night stay...we have been s-p-o-i-l-e-d. This has NOT been a paid review...just an HONEST feelings from two VERY satisfied vacationers!!!! Thank you. Corky and Debbie Holloway Evans, GA

Not relaxing

Upon arrival we were not provided the code to access the building. After we finally made it to the condo we noted that one on the bathroom doors did not work (would not open) I called the management company and was told that someone would be by the next day to make the repairs. Upon departure the door still had not been addressed. I made 2 contacts to the company by phone and vrbo message. The beds were like sleeping on rocks. We were not provided with pillow cases for the fold out couch. The freezer door on the refrigerator would not stay closed. The lazy river only had 2 floats.

"We Keep Hopin'!"

"Carolinian 731" is in a GREAT location. However,there ARE the NEGATIVE aspects. As was the case when we stayed in September,we had to call maintenance for some "situations". The toilet would not flush...the hall/kitchen clock needed a battery...the lamp beside the sofa needed a light bulb...the living room tv needed "attention"...the curtains in the bedroom d0 NOT keep the outside hall light from partly shining in...the curtains in the living room could NOT be closed (maintenance advised us that was the condo owners's decision for whatever reason, as we were told last stay). We called the office(?) soon after arriving and notified the lady. Joey, the maintenance man, soon came and remedied the tv, put a new battery in the clock, put a new bulb in the lamp,and fixed the toilet. Joey deserved(s) a "5-Star Rating"...he was extremely nice and "knew what he was doing". Now, should a vacationer have to go through this each and every time he/she stays here? I wouldn't think so!True, the condo is quite old but with a fantastic ocean view,but MORE attention should be given to ALL the "boo boos"! My wife and I are booked here in a couple of weeks... wonder if Joey will have to stop back by?? It is unfortunate the condo has no cancellation policy...agreed?? See you in a couple of weeks. "Our Home Away from Home"!

My wife and I have vacationed at Carolinian 731 several times...each time is better than the previous ONLY because we KNOW what to expect. The view STILL remains PEREFECT...the condo is STILL pristine/clean...the location is PERFECT...the parking garage is well guarded...the Fitness Room is CLEAN with top-notch equipment...the room rates are STILL great...booking is STILL easy and fast...the office/customer service is STILL courteous and quick to send maintenance if a "situation needs attention". We have SUCH a wonderful 8-days 7-nights stay. The ONLY negative side of "731" is having to leave but we MUST go home. My wife always tells me not to be depressed but to look on the bright side and look forward to returning ASAP to our "Home Away from Home"! Thank you Carolinian 731!!

Great Views, Spacious 1 BR - BUT Owner Neglect Impacts Comfort of Stay

The layout of the unit is great with a very spacious and bright feel. Ocean front view was awesome and location is terrific. However, the owner clearly has not taken care of the unit for years in just about every respect. From minor and inexpensive items such as a terribly dirty coffee pot (so bought and left a new one); almost no kitchen utensils; very old pots and pans; no wine glasses (so again I went out and bought them) ; a very old, uncomfortable and stained sofa and sitting chair; a rug in the main room that is in equally bad condition; and a real need for new blankets on the beds. The shower only comes out at a trickle having almost no power and the floor of the shower is in very, very poor and worn out condition. Other upgrades that are needed and due to costs could be done over time include the need for a new stove, refrigerator, mattresses, and counter tops in the kitchen. It's a shame the owner has done just about nothing in this unit for years. Otherwise this would be an absolutely awesome place to stay.
