Great respite!

We just needed a getaway from our work & the cold weather. We didn’t realize that the VRBO was just a regular hotel room, but it sufficed. We appreciated being able to use all the amenities that the Ritz Carlton had to offer. We loved being able to walk to all the local restaurants! The location was perfect!

Beautiful stay at the Ritz

Staying at the Ritz Key Biscayne is always amazing. The check in process was smooth. You’re treated like a guest by all staff and have full access to all amenities. The room was clean and had a nice view of the ocean.

The hotel has great service, in all the areas. This makes the experience much more enjoyable.

The only thing that I was a little but disappointed was the bed. Wasn’t the quality the hotel offers. The sofa bed instead was very good.

In fact, we have received the opposite on reviews for this unit. Everyone comments on their perfect night sleep. But mattresses are based on individuals comfort levels, which may not have suited yours.

Great location but ……

Perfect location spectacular view but the suite needs freshen up. Coat paint would be enough, evidence of wear. The bed squeaks and could use an upgrade as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return!

Ritz Carlton Escape

This room was as advertised. We had a beautiful room on the 10th floor with a direct view of the ocean. The room was spacious and clean. We had a parking space in the hotel garage and had full access to all the amenities of the hotel (except, weirdly, when we asked for some extra shampoo they said they couldn’t provide it to us- so bring your own!). We will definitely stay here again!

Disappointed

The Ritz is generally an above standard property. This one is not. The room is in rough shape: Adjoining room door does not lock. Mico is falling off of the cabinet. Fridge does not cool and freezer is inop. Chairs are stained. Bed is nearly on the floor and the left side is damaged. I would not stay at the property again.

Ok - needs updating

The room itself was not up to the Ritz standard. A good cleaning to remove the food from the walls in the mini kitchen area, and baseboards need to be painted/cleaned (an inch of dust). The shower is clogged, and the water did not drain properly. The bathroom could be updated like the other rooms at the Ritz, overall updating e.g. painting and cleaning would be ideal to meet the standard of the Ritz. The Ritz~Carlton hotel amenities were on par and the reason for booking the room. Pros: the room comes with parking which is easy and accessible.

Great place nice unit

Room was very nice but it was on a low floor which was never confirmed with me so I was surprised. You do see the ocean from the corner of the balcony. Right below is the area where some of the machinery or AC and pipes are located. A little higher up you wouldn’t notice it as much. As a result we didn’t really use the balcony much. The room was renovated and well maintained. I had some issues getting responses from management after hours especially when the balcony door wouldn’t lock. I got that fixed myself and that was the only big issue. Overall a great property.

Disappointed!!!

The bed squeaked any time you rolled over, lifted an arm! The carpet had stains! The bed linens had stains! The coffee maker had no regular coffee, only decaf! The hotel refused to replenish because this was a VRBO rental. The light in the bathroom needed a new light bulb! One of the telephones did not work…..I will not use VRBO again! I took a friend and was totally embarrassed!

The property is First-Class. I itemized to the owner/representative our disappointments with 4 room key malfunctions(one causing us to miss a Family/Charity boat ride). The other issues were a parking garage card we never found until the last day, no ice maker in the fridge, and lack of coffee 'pods' for our 8 day stay. The owner's statement to the Guests needs to be updated to inform their guests regarding these deficiencies. I responded to their inquiries and would appreciate acknowledgment of our less than perfect expectations. The Ritz~Carlton reputation was lacking. Thank you for your attention.
