Perfect Family Get Away

We had the best time at this property making memories. Between family game night, pool time, and easy access to the beach this house was perfect. It was extremely clean, the 2 laundry rooms made life so easy, and we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation!

We had 4 families vacation in July 2022, each with young children. We had an absolute blast! Felt right at home in the cozy, well-kept home. Scenery and days' events were amazing being right on the beach. Property management was very accommodating. Hope to return!

We absolutely loved the house and location. Well built, quiet home with high end finishes. Elevator was an awesome bonus, especially, when arriving and leaving. Highly recommend this property. I can't say enough nice things about Leslie's Vacation Rentals. By far the best realty company we've ever worked with and we've been visiting OBX for many years.. Beautiful Outer Banks

Had a seamless interaction with Cora from Leslie’s. She provided a ton of information for us and answered all questions promptly and accurately. The directions and access to the home were exactly as promised. There was actually more in the home such as cleaning supplies then we had been promised. The Home itself is beautiful, spacious, well equipped, and steps to the beach. There are plenty of stores and activities within a half hour drive. While a bit warmer weather would’ve been great, we had a great time and we’re well aware of the weather patterns before we booked. Sometimes you win. …… we would heartily endorse the company, the house and the area. In fact of our four couples, two are already discussing returning. A great holiday!

Great spot!

You can't beat waking up to the sunrise every morning with a cup of coffee on the deck. The location and ease of access to the beach was great! We were happy with the cleanliness, furniture, mattresses & linens. (Though the shower towels/washcloths were a bit small and not so soft.)The house had everything we needed except we needed to buy more toilet paper, paper towels, get hand soap, counter cleaner & dish detergent. We stay in many rentals and this was the first one we had to restock necessary items at. Also if we could change one thing, it would be the chairs on the deck. If they were higher, we would be able to sit and see the ocean without the railing in sight. Over all we had an excellent time and loved staying at the house!

The location of this house is amazing, and the ocean views are incredible! We do try hard to keep the house clean and well maintained and are glad that this group enjoyed it! We provide a "starter" kit for guests which includes a full roll of toilet paper for every bathroom, a roll of paper towels and garbage can liners in the garbage cans; however, guests are responsible for supplying these consumable products for the house for their vacation.

Outer Banks Perfect

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we were hoping we made a wise selection in property, location, and rental week at booking. Our selection couldn't have been more spot on. The property was large and laid out well for large groups even though our party size decreased last minute due to some conflicts in schedules. From the large 3rd floor covered deck you can sit and listen to the surf in total peace and quiet. The private beach access made the early morning and late evening beach walks with the dogs super easy. The gated development was exceptionally quite and very well maintained. Honestly, after having looked at nearly every VRBO in OBX, I have to say, there could not have been a better selection made than this property. Don't hesitate to book this property if you are looking for a perfect stay. We will definitely return guests.

Sunrise Vacation

Thank you for helping us enjoy a wonderful first visit to the outer banks. The location is terrific. The home was as listed. We used the community pool, tennis courts and playground. The two showers outside the home were so convenient to clean up after the beach. We paid to warm up the pool. The increase in pool temp wasn’t that much, but it made the pool nicer for our younger grand children. Adequate plates, bowls, glasses and utensils as well as pans. Grill worked fine. Guests need to come prepared to get toilet paper, paper towels, and all other supplies right at the start as the home really doesn’t have much to start out. Food Lion is very close but go early as it does sell out of some items.

Fabulous Home to rent!

Buck Hill Island is a pristine community and you'll love your stay! The unique set up of the home provides you with plenty of space to spread out. The pool area is private and sheltered from the ocean winds. The hot tub is large and relaxing. Every bedroom has a bath and they're all clean and functional. Beds were a little hard but it's not home. The kitchen is stocked for large groups and fully functional with lots of seating. The furniture was plenty and comfortable and clean. The beach is a short walk down a nice boardwalk. Even after Labor Day, lifeguards were visible and observant. The beach area was nice and clean but there is public access around you. The view is gorgeous and relaxing and quiet from the top deck. The dunes have to be super high there because of weather, so you'll not get view from the second deck. But it's just as comfy and more private. Shopping plaza and grocery stores are just around the corner. The community pretty much sustains itself with the area. Southern areas as Duck, Nags Head,etc are about 40 mins south off the entrance to OBX. It was busy but not packed with people as farther south. Leslie's was prompt with one thing we needed as was the pool guy who came to answer. Not one complaint here! Super nice home to rent for the family!

Sunrise on the ocean

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Sunrise. There was just the right amount of space for everyone to have their privacy and enjoy the company of the family. We were there the week before the season started and although we had some rain it was still perfect. The heated pool made all the difference for swimming. We were able to enjoy the beach almost every day. The kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of pillows, linens and towels. Laundry on two floors for this size house was perfect. The elevator was great for lugging everything to the 2nd and 3rd floor. The view was perfect. We could see dolphins in the water daily. The distance to the beach was just right. All and all it was a great stay and we will definitely stay there again. The few things that we did not like were manageable and overall did not effect our stay. The pool chairs all had cracks in them so we didn’t spend too much time sitting on them in fear they would break. The beds were on the hard side except one so we just had to adjust to that but some like hard beds. We still slept just fine. The second floor shared bathroom did not have enough privacy from the balcony and windows next door if you were sitting on the toilet or showering. So we only bathed the babies in this bathroom. There were plenty of bathrooms so this was not a problem for us. Everything you need is close by and lots to do when your not on the beach or relaxing on the scenic decks. Beautiful gated community. Great house

Needs some definite upgrades in kitchen, but overall my sisters and brother and I had a very good time. Lots of space and very open top floor. Kitchen is fully equipped with 2 or more of each item. Beautiful view of the ocean.

The perfect family beach vacation.

This 6 bedroom house was just perfect for our family of 13, 7 kids and 6 adults. The kitchen had ample space for cooking and enough tables for sit down eating and/or playing games. The cupboards were also filled with games and puzzles. The gated community is very secure and shopping, groceries, and restaurants are all walking distance. Perfect location with views of beautiful sunrises.

Great Stay

We had a group of 12 stay and the house was the perfect size to accommodate all of us. The beach is a stones throw away and the porches were where we spent most of our time dolphin watching if we weren’t at the beach or in the pool. We really had no complaints but only a few suggestions: kitchen towels would make a big difference and also bath mats were not in all of the bathrooms so you had nowhere to stand when exiting the shower. We were pleasantly surprised to see there were many beach chairs provided although your listing clearly states there are none at the house. This would be helpful information for people traveling to your house via plane. We had purchased beach chairs on the way to your house thinking there would be none. We would definitely come back! We are so glad that this group enjoyed all that the house has to offer and look forward to welcoming you back soon! We don't provide beach chairs, but they are often left behind by previous guests. They are not provided by the owner, so we can not confirm the quantity or quality prior to a guest arrival. We try to keep dish clothes in the kitchen, but they have a habit of walking off. We do provide 15 bath towel sets - 15 bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes. There are generally many extra hand towels which can double as kitchen towels and /or bath mats.
