Great view, great place

Very pleased with the accommodations. The unit was clean, the view was great, everyone was helpful and friendly. Love the adult only pool, and the indoor pool and hot tub!

The view from the disgusting balcony was amazing...really the only thing we enjoyed about our unit.

Great view of the gulf from the balcony

The view was great, the a/c was really cold. Issues with the property manager, but not the owner, as far as I could tell. New kitchen appliances worked well, but no ice tray or ice maker. Reported it, but nothing changed.

Great location

We loved being able to walk down the stairs and be so close to the beach. The bed was comfortable. Close to dollar general so we didn’t have to run all the way back to Gulf Shores. The bunk bed was great for my 8 year old. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool and the view from the balcony was wonderful!

Get away

We have stayed in the Plantations several times. Always love staying here. This time was great too. The only thing I will say is the room we stayed needed some color, pictures on Wall and maybe a tv in the bedroom. However the room was very clean and still nice place to stay.

Sad vacation accommodation

The place was dirty and furniture was uncomfortable. The fire alarm battery was dead and chirped the entire time. The walls had patched up places but hadn't been repainted. Mold on the shower curtain. The pictures made it look cozy but it was not. The location and pool was the only good part. The adult pool had a dirty black ring around the edge which was gross. The elevator was shoddy and had no air flow. The security gate staff were kind and courteous.

Nice view

Only the view, condo needs work no closet (closet rod mounted 3 in. from wall, patio glass door panel was fogged up, table and stools were the same heights, chairs on deck were cracked, and no table, vacasa sent new chairs and table the day before we left. Would not stay there again. Indoor pool was closed a lot of repairs were being done.

We enjoyed our stay! We did not enjoy the broken chair and stinky couch ( which I reported with Vacasa and I never got that call back from them to let me know how they would handle it. We did not get extra towels we requested nor a call back on that decision either from Vacasa. I was informed I could wash their towels on the property @ my expense. They (Vacasa) felt they left sufficient towels for my party of 3 for my stay. Lastly the main pool was under construction. This was not mentioned in the booking or by Vrbo or Vacasa. Resulting in an overcrowded pool for all guests @ Plantation East.

Ehhh. Don’t love it don’t hate it either

If you’re looking for fun ambience & happy esthetic, this place isn’t for that. After making the best of it the place was fine for a quick weekend stay. There’s no decor or color. The patio furniture is old and stained, as well as the sofa. The bedroom is plain and sad, no tv. Only 1 small tv in kitchen/living area. Sliding door is old and falling off track, literally fell towards me when opening. Was told that was being replaced soon along with new balcony. Place is decent but it is obvious the owner has lost all interest in it. It’s just a revolving door/pay check, no love is put into the place. But it is decent enough for an inexpensive stay on beach front with pool.

Amazing location but facilities need updating or fixed and cleaned.

Someone walked in our room not long after we checked in. Turns out the code to get into yours he rooms are just opposite of the room number. Stained couch still as had read about but read it had been taken care of but it wasn’t. It smelt of mold and mildew and I had to clean just to be able to stay in the room. And our balcony that I planned to sit and crochet at was off limits because of a note saying not to use the door would fall off. First time ever on vacation that I was more excited to leave than stay. If these things were ever truly fixed, it would be a wonderful location.

Would not recommend

Unit was in desperate need of updating and repair. Black mold visible in bathroom and kitchen. Tiles missing in bathroom floor. Stained linens and uncomfortable firnuture. Limited space to place belongings. Lacked amenities that we are accustomed to for units in a similar price range. Overall extremely disappointed.

Second time!

We stayed in this exact condo in April. This time the recliner was taken out but not replaced. The couch was even dirtier. The balcony door was broken. It smelt kind of musty I'm assuming from just all the condensation and it not getting cleaned in the vents very good. The sheets and blankets kind of smelled. We paid to wash them ourselves. I messaged the place a couple of times but kept getting the response of "sorry for the wait getting high volumes of messages" type of answer. I read the reviews over the last couple of months and figured they would have replaced the couch and recliner by now but did not. This place definitely HAS TO HAVE an upgrade. Me and my family still had a great time it's just we wish things would have been better this time.

View was great; living space not so much

To start with a positive, the view is beautiful! The unit, however, needs some work. The sliding back door is about to fall off the track. The balcony is sketchy. The keypad for the door must have been low on batteries because we had to put the code in a dozen times before it took. There was no "amenities fob" in the room and it wasn't delivered until the next day; the new one didn't work. There is no place in the room to put luggage. The sheets were put on the bed sideways so it seemed like the bed was short-sheeted until we figured that out. The shower head looks like it's from the 1970s and barely sprays water. The paint is scuffed and peeling. The furnishings are very sparse and very plain. It's definitely not one that hits all the bells and whistles. But the view is nice...

Great View…but Needs Improvements

The view was AMAZING! Unfortunately, we were not thrilled with the room though. It needs lots of updates. New paint is needed. You can see black mold near the air vents. The bathroom needs new flooring and shower head. The bedroom closet needs an actual closet bar that you can use and a new bed that’s more comfortable. The pillows were also very flat. The hallway bunk bed has a super thin mattress pad and not an actual mattress. The top bunk has no mattress. The recliner is broken and unusable. The couch needs a cleaning and only seats two. This made it uncomfortable for our family of four to sit together. We ended up pulling the balcony furniture inside to use. The pull out couch bed had no linens. The dining table and stools were the same high, so it was difficult and uncomfortable to use them. The TV was small and continuously froze the first night, so we never even used it again. The Wi-Fi went out during a storm our first day and never worked again. The sliding glass door was impossible to open and came off the track frequently. The screen door was completely broken and leaning against the wall. We had to wash the towels on our dime and had to buy more toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags because not enough was provided. There were a few positives though…we loved the view. The walk to the beach was marvelous! The amenities available were great, but I wish we would have had the information of what the exact amenities were and a map of locations would have been nice.
