The Great Escape ist eine großartige Kabine mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern in den Regionen Pigeon Forge und Gatlinburg. Entspannen Sie sich auf dem Deck und genießen Sie die wunderschöne Landschaft. Gehen Sie durch die Türen und unterhalten Sie Ihre Familie in der voll ausgestatteten Küche. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit einem Kingsize-Bett. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und einem Futon. Great location! Close to everything in nice neighborhood and great parking .We had issue with WiFi but that could have probably been solved we just did not have time . Everything was good , only suggestion is may want to put a shower mat in downstairs shower. Very slippery. Overall, everything was great and would stay there again. Highly recommend this cabin !

Thank you Jeanie, yes I think I mentioned the network is misslabled and which one to use, but I do not think you ever got back to it. There is a matt for the shower in the closet, I am sorry you didnt see it. Maybe we need to mnake it more visable. It is a great cabin for exploring the area. We hope to see you again soon. Walt

I have been coming to Gatlinburg for 30 years and have never written a bad review. This property has roaches!!!! We approached the owner at first and he said he called an exterminator. He was at the place 4 minutes and never went in the house. He said it came in probably from outside, but there were no more. WE HAD 6 VERY LIVE ROACHES IN ALL THE BEDROOMS AND LIVINGROOM. We never heard from the owner after the first day even after reporting it every time. We provided video's of every roach that was killed and moving. This place ruined our vacation. The chalet was also filled with cobwebs and spiders.

After your initial report, we immediately contacted our licensed pest control company, who treated the property. When you let us know you had seen additional insects, we arranged for another treatment following your departure to ensure the home was thoroughly serviced again. Looking back, we also recognize that we could have communicated with you more throughout your stay, and for that we sincerely apologize. Even when we are actively addressing an issue behind the scenes, we want our guests to know they are being heard. As with all mountain cabins in the Smokies, occasional insects can make their way indoors despite regular professional pest control. However, we take every report seriously and have continued working with our pest control provider to help minimize the possibility of future occurrences. The cabin itself is an amazing cabin. ADA accessable, close to everything, not too windy of a road, very "homey". However, there were a lot of cleanliness issues. I was able to talk to the host, to which he let me know they were coming to clean the carpets after we left (a couple of days later), and that he would do a walk through to check on the issues (bugs, mold on shower liner, trash and such in couch, other sanitary issues, dust/cobwebs everywhere). Walt was helpful after I contacted VRBO and had them help with it. I had to sanitize everything to feel comfortable, but the cabin overall was nice. Honestly, I would stay again, as long as the issues were addressed.

We stayed for four days, and the only issue I had was with the twin bed mattresses. They were a little on the lumpy side. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this property. We also had a bear visit on our first night. The bear opened the car doors and checked out the car. Got in the front drivers side door and left through the passenger door. No damage, but he/she left the doors open. It was kind of exciting.
