Kleines Haus im Wald

Wir sind immer noch im Übergang, um Seevermietungen auf dem Gehöft anzubieten. Das ganze Jahr über Blick auf den See, aber am sichtbarsten nach dem Herbst. Das Hotel liegt am Fort Gibson Lake. Es gibt einen Wanderweg zum See, wo Sie angeln, Kajak fahren (in naher Zukunft mieten), den Sonnenuntergang beobachten oder schwimmen können. Machen Sie ein Feuer in der Feuerstelle und entspannen Sie sich in der wunderschönen Umgebung. Platz für vier Personen. Es gibt noch viel zu tun und zu sehen. Sie werden diese Natur in den Wäldern ausgiebig genießen.

Wir bedauern, Ihnen mitteilen zu müssen, dass wir nach dem Verlust der Hühner durch den Hund eines Besuchers keine externen Tiere mehr auf dem Bauernhof zulassen. Wir lassen jedoch frische Eier für Ihren Aufenthalt und hoffentlich in Zukunft Honig von unseren eigenen Bienen.

The only part of being in Oklahoma that we liked was this darling cabin tucked away by the lake. We came because of our jobs and were blessed to find this property. So much nicer then staying in a hotel. Thank you!

I locked my keys in the cabin and the door was unlocked within 30 min. So thankful they had someone that could help so quickly! With 2 houses next door (one had a paved drive) and a venue down the road for weddings; the area is beautiful. The cabin is a Tiny Cabin in the woods with a steeeep drive and an even steeper walk to a small, secluded, and rocky beach. It was a little adventure; our family loved it! Plus, there is Ranger Creek down the road and it was a very cool place to explore!

As we were working 12 hr shifts on most days, it was super nice to come back to the quiet and peace of this cabin in the woods. A few minor repairs would be recommended.

We never stayed in the home. Upon arrival the house was unlocked with a key hanging by the door. Unfortunately, the house was filthy. The bed had been obviously slept in and still had dirty sheets and blankets on it. There was moldy food in the refrigerator and moldy dirty cups on the kithen countertop.

This place would be perfect for a younger couple or single person in the fall or spring, or a couple with a younger pup. We had our 17 year old dog with us, and ended up checking out a day early because the AC couldn't keep up with the weather outside and it was about 80 degrees in the cabin so much to hot for our old girl. The place is quaint but cute, clean, and easy to navigate. The drive way could be difficult if we weren't in a truck. They could use some minor updates (blinds on the upstairs windows to help with AC, upgrade AC units, have some baking sheets, a water filtration system, and a bathroom rug for after shower. Oh, and a more confortable bed.)I think we would come back when its cool enough to run the fireplace and go hiking. I did message the owner a few times and never got a response. Not sure i would pay 150 a night again without minor upgrades.

Loved our stay

Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I booked this location for a weekend getaway and it did not disappoint. The tiny cabin in the woods provided a quiet and relaxing setting to enjoy nature. The short walk to the lake was convenient for fishing. We have bookmarked this place to return in the future. The perfect place to relax and rejuvenate from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Just what we needed

The property was almost exactly what we expected from the listing. It is very rustic & out in the country and just a short walk down to the lake. We spent our time fishing & swimming. And having a wonderful time together. We made s’mores at the fire pit out back. My husband is a pretty big guy & he & I slept well on the pullout on the main level and two kiddos happily in the loft. Comfortable temperature too. Thank you!

Just what we wanted

We were originally looking to camp with a few amenties. But when we saw this is was the perfect combination of simple and rustic, with running water, flushable toilets, and a/c. So it is not the Ritz, but that was not what we wanted. The ladder to the loft was a little tricky, but we only went up or down once per day and it was fine. We very much enjoyed the Native American museums and sites in the area, loved Tahlequah. Ran out of time to do much hiking but there were lots of places nearby to do so. All in all it was a great little getaway from our suburban life!

It was okay!

Our car had trouble getting up the gravel driveway, it had some big ruts. Bathroom had a used tampon in the toilet. Loft bed was not the easiest to get into. Had to crawl on hands and knees. But it was a beautiful area and we saw deer out the window.

Cozy Family Time

The screened in porch was such a great amenity! The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils that could be needed. The friendly chickens and guineas were a hit with our toddlers and Molly the “guardian” dog was as sweet as could be. She hung out with us on the porch during the rain storm. Rebekah was very responsive and flexible when we decided to bring our dog last minute. If there was anything that could have been a little better, the beds were pretty uncomfortable but I’m sure that is just part of the tiny home experience! I also thought the cabin was more secluded and was a bit surprised to find it faced two large homes. This honestly was not an issue though because it was still very private and peaceful. This was a fun unique experience that our family will always remember.

Perfect solo getaway!

As a solo traveller, it's often hard to find cabins that aren't sized (and priced) for large groups or families. This tiny house is EXACTLY what I always hope to find. It's secluded, but close to the lake, and even 10-15 min from a local hotspot, the Dam Bar, which also has a small bait/tackle shop. It was perfect for a quiet retreat to do some creative work. I only had a brief conversation with the hosts, but it was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well-kept. A surprise visit from Molly (the sweet guardian dog) was icing on the cake. She lounged with me by the campfire for a long while, and watched the porch for me when I finally went back inside. The only thing I didn't expect was that there are two other houses on the property, one in fairly close proximity to the screened porch. No one was in them, but had there been a family there, it may have felt a little less private. Overall, I had a great time, and I've bookmarked this spot as a place to return!

We fell into this business and have enjoyed every minute of it. We really like meeting our guests and getting to know their families. We welcome many of our families back for multiple stays. We enjoy providing them with surrounding activities. Some just like to explore our property.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Our 60 acre property (Gray House Farm, LLC), with 4 lake cabin rentals and an event center, is completely peaceful and we are so excited to be able to share it with others. We like to call it our little homestead on the lake. Collect your own fresh eggs, when available, from our very own free range chickens. We currently have 1 rooster and 8 laying hens.

The area is 30 minutes to Tahlequah and 30 minutes to Muskogee. There are several things to do around the lake. Our favorite hangout spot is a short boat ride to Cypress Cove. They have live music, heated fishing dock, food for the catfish and ducks, and excellent food and spirits. We are sometimes available to water taxi.

There is also Sequoyah State Park. It’s a 20 minute drive or short scenic kayak trip. They have golf, horse back riding, hiking and biking trails, boating and fishing, as well as a nature center with a bald eagle, owl and other wildlife. Catch them at the right time for animal feeding.

Other ideas:
-Pontoon boats for rent at Paradise Cove.
-Whitehorn Cove has a restaurant on the water.
-Tahlequah has an awesome Cherokee Museum and village.
-Wagoner (10 miles) has a yoga barn and rope course and lots of antique stores.
-Hulbert (5 miles) has a splash park for the kiddos.
-Wildwood State Park 2 miles away with boat ramp, swim deck, camp grounds with showers.
-15 minutes to scenic Fort Gibson, oldest town in Oklahoma.
