Could be a 5 star rental

This is a spacious house in a rural location which is quiet and safe and the view is nice. The beds are comfortable and there are adequate utensils, dishes, etc. The house was clean. The hot tub worked well. We stayed 2 nights to play some area golf courses and visit the Ilani Casino. All were within 15 miles of the house. There are no grocery stores nearby. We did not use any appliances except the coffee pot so I am unsure how they worked. There are some things that are needed to make this a 4 or 5 star VRBO. Most important is the need for a guest book that describe check in and check out procedures such as thermostat temp settings, kitchen faucet (motion detector), WiFi password, etc. The TVs (which there are several very nice smart TVs) seem to all be Roku and stream certain services like Netflix, but we could not access any local news. Again a visitors book would help. The two showers could be updated and there are several minor maintenance things such as loose tiles that should be addressed. Outside a bit of yard care/maintenance would also be most helpful. The house smelled a little musty, but not sure how long since its last use so that may be the cause. The owner was responsive to my texts with some questions so that is a plus. Overall a good experience, but this could be a "WOW" kind of place with some work.

Our stay had both positives and challenges. The home seems like it was lovely in its prime, but some areas could benefit from refreshing. A thorough exterior cleaning and improved groundskeeping would make a big difference.When we arrived, there was no running water until after 9 PM because the jacuzzi was being filled. The host responded quickly once contacted, which we appreciated, though it was still a difficult start. The gates were also problematic—one couldn’t open and the other couldn’t close, so they didn’t provide functional security.The yard uses rocks instead of grass, but the area had overgrown weeds, and the outdoor walls and skylights had many cobwebs, which was uncomfortable for a family member who is afraid of spiders. The jacuzzi was only accessible by walking around the outside of the house, and the path wasn’t maintained.Inside, the home was spacious and clean, and we were relieved to find no roaches or bedbugs. The main bed was very comfortable, though the other mattresses and the A/C could be improved. The large baby crib in the master bedroom took up a lot of space and couldn’t be moved.There is no land beyond the immediate yard—just the small backyard, paved areas, and an event parking lot. On the positive side, the master bathtub was lovely, the host communicated quickly, and the blackberry bushes were a nice touch. The property does differ from the listing photos. We were also offered a discount on a return stay in exchange for a 5-star review

Over price and run down

Very over priced and the heating didn't work properly. Half of the rooms were so cold we had to find blankets. The was no check in information or book to refer to. We not once were able to use the hot tub. Even after the owners father brought chemicals and cleaning supplies for my sister to do it herself. After all of that the hot tub still didn't work. We were not able to use it during our stay. The hot tub was the number one reason for us renting thos property. The first we tried to use several items at the rental property and found that there was no propane for the fire pit or the bbqs and there was mold in both bbqsand we had to clean before use. This was two other features that we were most looking forward to during our stay. The coffee pot wouldn't work. Kitchen was extremely unorganized with dirty dishes in cabinets. We had no clue where anything was due to not having a check in and out book to refer to. Basketballs and all of the bikes tires were all flat and I have to buy a pump just so the kids could use them. There were cob webs everywhere and I could tell that it has not been deep clean in a long time. The gates to enter property wouldn't open and stay open all night. The kitchen skylight illeaks. I will never return extremely unsatisfied with our stay and neither should anyone else.

Needs lots of updates and is not regulation for being wheelchair accessible

We stayed 4 nights here, for starters when we arrived the door knob kept falling off, there are several things that needed upgraded such as the showers, there are several broken tiles through out the house. The electrical is very sketchy when you plug your stuff in the bedrooms it sparks. The light switches are really tricky. I think it also needs a guest book. You don’t know what is expected when you leave such as laundry and such. It has nice decor but the bones are outdated and it does have a smell, the dishwasher needs a good cleaning, it’s nice they supply shampoo and soap. There are things such as flour and salt and pepper which makes it nice. The outside is really in disrepair. It looks junky and needs lots of work. We payed I feel like a lot for four nights there were several fees that were weird. There was also a cleaning fee which in any other place I have rented is refundable the cleaning deposit is not with this rental. There was also gross things in drawers such as empty liquor bottles ,rolling papers and scales in the bedrooms. There was a painting on the floor that was left leaning on the wall not sure why before the next guests they weren’t put back up. The back doors are held shut with some kind of weird rope. For the price those kinds of things should be fixed. I paid over a thousand dollars and I can’t say that I don’t feel ripped off.the biggest issue is the house says it’s wheelchair accessible and it’s not my husband almost fell going up the sketchy ramp which is not regulation. It also isn’t easy to come through the door because the lip. His electric wheelchair almost fell back several times. If you are needing a wheelchair accessible house this isn’t for you..

Great interior and furnishings.

This property is beautiful inside. It appears to be in the midst of a remodel. The interior decor and furnishings were amazing. The water situation was rather disappointing. The kitchen faucet doesn’t work nor does the master bathroom shower. These made a lot of tasks rather difficult. The outside has been neglected but the blackberries, grapes and roses were beautiful to look at. I’d stay again in the future if the water situation could be resolved.
