Cherry Creek Retreat in Montana ist ein 7 Hektar großes GrundstĂŒck, das sich ĂŒber einem der höchsten Punkte von Flatheads East Lake Shore befindet. Die Bigfork-Liegenschaft befindet sich in der NĂ€he des Glacier Parks und ist auf allen Seiten von der Schönheit des Flathead Valley umgeben. Dahinter sind hohe bewaldete Berge. Vorne befindet sich der weitlĂ€ufige Flathead Lake mit hervorragenden Angelmöglichkeiten. Auf jeder Seite beben Espen. Dazwischen stehen Kirsch- und ApfelbĂ€ume, eine alte rote Scheune, 3 Forellenteiche und der wunderschöne Cherry Creek. Nur wenige Minuten entfernt liegt Flathead Lake mit Bootszugang zum Yellow Bay State Park, Woods Bay und Bigfork. Ein Boots- und Kajakverleih sowie das gefĂŒhrte Fliegenfischen stehen zur VerfĂŒgung. Das 3-stöckige, handgefertigte Blockhaus mit Pfosten und Balken bietet von allen Zimmern aus eine spektakulĂ€re Aussicht. Drei Plattformen fließen von den großen RĂ€umen mit französischen TĂŒren. Holzböden, Felsarbeiten und Kunst nach Maß sorgen fĂŒr zusĂ€tzliche Schönheit. ZusĂ€tzlich gibt es zwei Überlaufkabinen. Diese Unterkunft ist perfekt fĂŒr Familientreffen und Hochzeiten geeignet. Wir erlauben jedoch nur Gruppen von mehr als 10 Personen ein paar Mal im Jahr. Daher veröffentlichen wir auf dieser Website eine maximale KapazitĂ€t von 12 Personen. Great property and location. Excellent communication with owner and staff. Fantastic views of Flat Head Lake. We had fresh fruit to eat and cherries on the trees. Went fishing and caught 8 lake trout. Big Fork is a quaint little town with lots to visit. Highly recommend.

Check-in went smoothly. The kitchen was very well equipped, including spices, electric appliances, table settings. It would have been helpful to have had a knife sharpener. The house got a bit hot when the outdoor temps got up near the 90's, but cooled off at night.The outdoor space was lovely. Our grandson enjoyed feeding the fish and getting leaf and bark boats to float down the streams. We played softball on the grounds and picked cherries and blueberries. The views of the lake from the main deck at sunset were beautiful.

Family vacation

The place was great. Loved the fruit trees and fish ponds on the property. The view was gorgeous and loved it was five minutes from the state park beach. The location was great, not far from Glacier, close to many activities, and close to restaurants. The house was fully stocked with lots of items. The house was comfortable and fit our family well. The area is fantastic with so much to do. We would recommend and stay again.

Great Base for exploring Flathead Lake and Glacier

Huge lot with fantastic back yard to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon/evening and a gorgeous deck view of the lake. Sleeping to the sounds of the stream was relaxing and the game room was great. The deck can be loud, buy when we wanted quiet we retreated to the great backyard.

Perfect cabin in the mountains

Charming, cozy cabin at a great location about 10 minutes from downtown Bigfork. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding area from the three balconies. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the boys liked fishing in the small trout pond! Loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Flathead Lake.

A DESTINATION IN ITSELF.

We were a group of 11, ranging from age 3 to 70's including 5 kids. We spent a day of our week in Montana just enjoying this cabin, the cherry, apple and other ripe fruit trees, feeding the trout and enjoying the surroundings. We enjoyed the beach and stream at the state park just 3 miles south. We lived on the deck. Just under an hour from West Entrance to the park, which was not a tough trip. Good grocery and restaurant options 5 (Woods Bay) to 15 (Bigfork) minutes away - we didn't even have to go to Kalispell for anything. Flathead Lake is beautiful and offers a number of recreation opportunities. Every one of my group was really pleased to be there.

Montana Vacation

My family stayed here to visit family and glacier park. The home has a beautiful view of flathead lake. The home is fully stocked with everything you can need for cooking and outdoor activities. Even bear spray which was nice since there was a bear roaming the area at the time. My family had a great time feeding the fish and picking cherries. The one challenge was there is no a/c in the home. The temperature was running around 95 while we there.

Great experience to enjoy

We all had a great time! House was well equipped with everything we needed, close to Glacier and other fun activities. Backyard gave us space to spread out and catching cherries on season a huge bonus. Totally enjoyed the month we were there. Highly recommend to other guests.

I highly recommend staying here. The house was very clean, had lots of room and was stocked with everything we needed. The property was beautiful; we loved feeding the fish in the pond. The view over the lake was amazing. The property owners were so accomodating and kind.

Beautiful home and property with issues

The view was beautiful, the beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The fish ponds were a hit with the grandchildren who loved feeding the fish. The cherries and raspberries were wonderful. The location was perfect and we enjoyed our time at Yellow Bay and Glacier National Park. Our major issue was that the house had mice. The owner agreed to a 10% discount on the property, but the issue was not resolved during our week-long stay. Mouse feces were evident in the house and on the outside decks and railings. Traps in the house did not appear to be catching the mice that we would see running around on the second floor in the evenings. Owner was aware of the problem, attempted to plug holes and catch mice before our stay and thought the problem was resolved. Also, one of the first floor bedrooms had a cat urine smell. The upstairs bathtub fabric surround appeared to be dirty or rusty, and either soap scum was evident or the surface of the tub was damaged. There was a small piece of glass left on the kitchen floor under the cabinets that resulted in a minor foot injury. If the mouse problem had been taken care of and a few minor cleaning issues resolved, it would have been a perfect stay.

We are Jim and Penny and we love northwest Montana! This property has been a cherished place for our family for 40+ years. It really is amazing and renewing. In the 1980s our visits here were to see Grandpa and the cousins. We would stay in one of the small cabins at the place and our children loved it! Later we became owners and in 2005 built our dream retirement home. We called it Cherry Creek Retreat because of the beautiful stream that originates and runs through the land and cherry trees. Cherry Creek Retreat has continued to be a special place for our family and friends to gather and even to have weddings and reunions. In 2006 we started renting out our home to vacation renters. In 2025 we began renting out the original house on the property year round to our wonderful property manager. We are fortunate to have great neighbors who help out when needed and also enjoy our many conversations with renters. We are happy to say they have found the place to be amazing too!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Grandpa Jim was raised nearby and had a dream to find the perfect property on the Flathead Lake before he retired in the 1970s. He knew the land well and what he wanted. It was to be a place with it's own natural spring, a view of the lake, good for growing cherries and putting in fish ponds, bordered by forest, close to town but with the feel of being in nature. He found this place and it is indeed special! We fell in love with it ourselves years ago, and the feeling only grew as time went on. Now we know others feel the same. Since we've built the Log House and let the property be used as a vacation rental, we hear from so many, "This place is heaven on earth!"

Ever changing growth of nature and food! We have cherry, apple, pear and plum trees. A raspberry patch. Fish ponds. Some years we plant a vegetable garden. You may pick and eat from all that is there. Kids love to play here. Families love to gather in spots all over the property and talk or play games. We're not in town, but close enough to get there easily. The scenery is spectacular! The log home is very nice. There are also the fixed-up original cabins that we occassionally let larger groups use.
