Peaceful Paradise

Our family loved our stay at the Eagle’s Nest. The location is peaceful and the views of Cook’s Inlet are amazing! The cabin is well-stocked with all of the comforts of home.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. In addition to the cabin, the view of the bay, and the close proximity to the river was great. The bonus wildlife which called this area home was a true blessing as well.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time staying in the Cabin. As a family of 6 we have a hard time finding a cabin to accommodate us all comfortably. But you cabin had room for us all at enjoy our selves and our time together. It was clean and comfortable and will will definitely like to stay again! Thank you

Eagles Nest Review

My friend and I stayed at the Eagles Nest the week of August 18th, 2024. What a great home and great location! It was well furnished and had everything we needed to prepare our own meals and enjoy Alaska. We loved sitting up on the second level deck and enjoy the view. The location was a perfect base location for easy access to our fishing spots on the Kenai, Kasilof, and Ninilchek. Would highly recommend this property and can't wait to go back!

Awesome Getaway

Great Place with awesome views and very quiet. I was surprised that the pictures on the site are very accurate. When we stayed it was cool nights and warm days. The number of bald eagles flying by was an amazing sight and we saw 3 or 4 moose just right out side the door and by the road. Plus walking on the beach was breathtaking. Highly recommend.

The Eagle's Nest Cabin

What a great place to spend a week looking out over the Cook Inlet and viewing the wild life. A quiet place to relax plus visit local areas. Everything was just as described in the listing and Robert was great with information on the area. If back in Alaska we would definitely have to stay here again. I'm a wheelchair user and you don't find many places that are wheelchair friendly for someone that doesn't stand or walk.

Wonderful place on the Kenai Peninsula

We loved this cabin!!! Plenty of room, everything we needed, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and laundry, fabulous views, and an easy walk to the beach. It was lovely listening to the waves and I liked being close to the water but not so close that we had to worry about our 18 month old grandson getting into mischief!! The location on the peninsula was great for us as first time visitors - great spot to take day trips to explore and yet settle in for a quiet evening, dinner at home and time around the fire pit. Robert and Eleanor were great to rent from and you can tell that they want this to be a home away from home. Loved our stay at Eagles Nest!!!

Cozy, good views

Overall decent property warm and cozy. Overpriced with the host fee for what it was compared to other Vrbo’s. Definitely could have used a good deep clean, windows inside and out, top of refrigerator hasn’t been cleaned in probably a year. Pots and pans were just thrown in the cupboards, upstairs bathroom amenities just tossed in under sink. Beach access is a mile down the road and the neighbors outside lights at night affect the viewing of the northern lights if that’s your thing .I personally would look for another place to stay if coming back to the area, just because of the over all cost.

Great Rental

Super clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, amazing views. Truly relaxing location. One of the cleanest rentals we've ever stayed in. The listing is exactly as described. The ability to completely unplug (no wifi or verizon service) was exactly what we needed. The views from both levels were fantastic. Even on rainy days, the decks provided outdoor space to enjoy. The upper deck is perfect for a morning cup of coffee, book reading, game playing, or evening beverage. Homer is an easy drive, as is Soldotna, Kenai etc. The beach access is a short drive (~1 mile) and has a small parking area or an access drive to the beach for vehicles. Great walking along the beach at both high and low tides. The area is quiet enough at night that you can hear a bit of the waves from the inlet. Would absolutely return to this rental.

Beautiful views

We got to see the northern lights while there. Access to the beach is a mile down the road, but well worth the trip down there. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. No WiFi , but the host provides a large DVD collection.

Great Property

We loved this house and would rent again in a heartbeat. We all wished we could take it home with us. Great size for our stay and we stayed twice while on our vacation. August 11-16 and again August 23-27. The only things I would say were not great was the yard was a little overgrown and it made sitting around the fire a little hard with tall wet grass. Also, there was some tissues left by housekeeping under a bed and an end table. The views were amazing from this property.

Very well maintained cabin in great location

Cabin has a very nice interior with everything you could need. Amazing views from the decks and plenty of parking. A great location close to many rivers and convenient beach access. We’ve stayed here twice and will stay here again in the future.
