If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. I had no problems with the property in general, but I did with the condo. The condo had cockroaches. There were some on the shower curtain and some under the kitchen sink. When I left a message for the whomever takes these kinds of complaints, I never heard back. I assume it wasn't taken care of. The rugs in the condo were dirty (which I also reported). The bedroom rug not as much but the living room rug was filthy. The couch and chair in the living room were also dirty, as were the pillows (living room and bedroom) and I doubt they have never been cleaned. The couch is very uncomfortable and old. The furniture needs replacing. When sitting on the couch I put a towel down, so I didn't have contact with the fabric.I will say that the kitchen and bathroom were updated and were nice (except for the cockroaches). The kitchen was well stocked, and I appreciated there were many spices to use. There were a lot of pans and plastic containers to store food. I wasn't a fan of the dishes; they were square and heavy. And I found them unattractive, but that is personal preference. The bathroom had 2 sinks and a lot of drawers and baskets to use. That was a plus.Lastly, one of the questions was about communication with the property manager. I wanted to skip the question, but the website wouldn’t let me. I had no communication with the property manager. Why don't you have a box for N/A or no contact. You asked about the property in general, but not about the condo.

Amazing stay!

We had such a great time in this unit at Whaler’s village. The location was perfect steps away from the beach in Ka’anapali with a low key family vibe: simple pool and hot tub, beautiful grounds and great people at Maui Paradise. Check-in and communication was seamless. The unit was perfect for what we needed and even better than the photos. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything needed to make meals, and the unit had a lots of little niceties: beach chairs, easy to read books and sand toys for kids. There were only two of us but could easily fit a family of four. We’d definitely like come back!

Super clean and lots of room in bedroom and bathroom. I gave a 4 star rather than 5 due to if you need help with luggage or brining heavy items up there was no one to assist. Some earlier reviews about smelling food from restaurants below were luckily unfounded. Nice view from balcony as well. Definitely worth it.

Location is perfect, very spacious and luxe!

We loved our experience. Stayed at Whaler 20 times before and loved this unit (our first time). Everything updated, Crate & Barrel furniture, spacious unit and balcony. This was a new view for us overlooking Whaler’s Village rather than Black Rock and it was a fun change. Saw more whales in ocean and an even bigger ocean view. Lovely!

Great unit but location may not work for all

This unit directly overlooks Whalers Village, and the 3 large restaurants. While this affords the unit fabulous views, it also means that you have the constants noise of A/C units and the strong odor of food cooking. This made our time on the patio less desirable and the sound of the ocean waives lapsing were competing with the A/C units. As a result, we typically left the doors closed instead of enjoying the fresh ocean breeze as we have at our other stays. As for the unit itself, very spacious and well equipped! Really nice layout! The complex is quiet. There are no onsite services, but being next door to Whalers Village made this a non-issue. The pool was clean and well staffed. The beach and boardwalk in front of this unit is why you stay in this location! Truly one of the best areas on Maui!The management staff was helpful and quick to respond when we had an issue! All-in-all we had a fabulous stay but in the future would look at staying elsewhere due to the intrusion presented by Whalers Village on this unit.

The Elevators were not working when we arrived so we had to lug all our luggage & golf bags up 8 floors. It was fixed the next day. Our Unit was beautiful & the lanai was amazing. It was perfect for me, my daughter & 13 yr old grandson. We appreciated the heated pool. Very convenient to Whaler Village. I would stay in this unit again.

Captivating Kaanapali!

The ease of scrolling through pictures to checking in, was perfect. The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean!!!! The beach access and having The Whaler shops next door was perfect. The only downside was the generator running all day is somewhat loud and hinders the ocean waves but I would rebook this condo again!!

What an absolutely PERFECT place to stay for our honeymoon. I honestly cannot rant and rave enough about this condo. Clean, large, right on the beach, literal walking minutes from delicious foods, luaus, shops, and bars, AMAZING views of both the sea AND the mountain at the same time from the balcony, AND very affordable. My husband and I attribute a large amount of the perfection of our honeymoon to this incredible condo. Whenever we come back to Maui we will 100% stay here again. Thank you also for the chairs, umbrella, and sandcastle kit, it was fun even for adults! 😊

Very Nice Unit

We came to the Whaler as a huge family of 16 and rented multiple units to accommodate us. My husband and I plus our 17 year old son stayed in this unit. We slept in the master bedroom, he was in the living room. The sofa sleeper was very uncomfortable so we ended up with him on a blow up bed. The living room had plenty of space for the bed, the carpet was in good condition, was stocked with games, beach stuff, and had comfortable nice furniture. The bathroom was big, clean, and easy for us to share. We each commented on how well the shower/tub was done. Very nice. The kitchen was well stocked and very nice. The lanai didn't get much sun and didn't have much of a view but we spent most of our time out and about so it was just fine. And after a day in the sun, it was nice to sit outside in the warm breeze and not be in sun. I'd recommend this unit because it's bright, it felt updated with nice furniture and cabinets, it's convenient location made it easy to get to and from, and it fit the 3 of us nicely. I only wish the check-in time was earlier than 4pm because it feels like you waste a whole day waiting to check in, get groceries, get settled, etc. We really couldn't enjoy the day until we accessed the unit. Check out is 10am so I think it would be very beneficial if they could move the check in time to 12:30/1pm. That allows the day to be productive instead of in wait.

We had issues with Property Management. We had paid a lot money on this rental, it was so dirty.. the carpet was so filthy I didn’t want to take my sandals off also the ceiling fan in the bathroom was black with gunk, the kitchen sink was so sour smelling. We were very disappointed. Our main concern was with the property management, we were told about a paint project, our balcony would be closed some and plastic up then we got an email telling us the project was complete and we would have full use and no plastic blocking our view.. well that was a lie. Everyone blaming someone else. Our first time in Hawaii, using Verbo and a property management. A really bad experience all the way around.

10 day stay

My family of five stayed in the accommodations for 10 days We specifically ordered a view room and it had an excellent view however there was construction going on that preventives us to use the balcony We were given some options to move to another unit with no view and a reduction in the rate or stay in the room. We stayed in the room as we did not want to repack and move. Jeff was very helpful and resolved the issue by reducing the amount we paid to what a non viewing room would be I applaud the way it was handled and the communication that occurred. Would def stay here again …with the view and no construction of course. We were notified of the construction but only on the day of landing. Overal was still a great experience because of the communication of everyone involved and the resolution that was offeeed
