Unsere Familie hat dieses Ferienhaus am Paudash Lake kürzlich gekauft und renoviert. Paudash ist ein wunderschöner See, der sich südlich von Bancroft Ontario befindet und an der Grenze zwischen Kawarthas und Haliburton im Hüttenland von Ontarion liegt. Die Hütte ist leicht zu erreichen von HWY 28 und ist in der Nähe von Bancroft oder Apsley, wenn Sie Lebensmittel oder ein LCBO benötigen.

Es gibt einen Yachthafen am See, wenn Sie ein Boot oder Wasserspielzeug mieten möchten. Auf dem Grundstück stehen Ihnen ein Kanu, ein Tretboot und ein Tretbrett zur Verfügung.

Unser Haus hat eine neue Küche und jedes Zimmer wurde renoviert und neu eingerichtet. Das Haus ist 2 Stockwerke hoch mit Kathedralendecken im Wohnzimmer und einem abgeschirmten Außen-Esszimmer, so dass Sie essen können, während Sie die herrliche Aussicht auf den See genießen. Wir sind auf einem Brunnen und das Wasser ist sehr sicher zu trinken und zu kochen. Sonneneinstrahlung ist Osten und wir haben die schönsten Sonnenaufgänge. Direkt hinter unserer Hütte befindet sich ein großer Park zum Werfen eines Balles oder zum Laufen durch die Trails.

Das Haupthaus hat 3 + 1 Schlafzimmer und wir haben auch ein Etagenhaus (Bunkie) neben dem Haus mit einem Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss und einem kleinen Dachboden. Die meisten Matratzen in der Hütte sind brandneu und sehr komfortabel zum Schlafen. Alle Betten sind vorhanden und von bester Qualität.

Die Hütte kann von Freitag bis Freitag gemietet werden, der Check-In ist um 16:00 Uhr und der Check-Out um 11:00 Uhr.

Der Paudash Lake ist ein wunderbarer Ort für einen Familienurlaub. Wir respektieren den See, die Umwelt und unsere Nachbarn sehr. Wir suchen nur Mieter, die das gleiche machen. Bitte kontaktieren Sie mich (Kim) mit irgendwelchen Fragen überhaupt.

Fall Get Away

Our overall impression was excellent. Comfortable, tasteful decor with lots of room and amenities for a family to relax and have fun at the cottage. The view from the cottage and the dock was beautiful. Be sure to get up early to catch a gorgeous sunrise. Kim was an excellent host. She was sure to provide you with all the information you needed to make your stay trouble free and was available to answer your questions. I would recommend Kim’s cottage to friends and family and would love to book again .

I have a few health issues, so I found the walk down (and up) to the lake quite challenging. Also some areas of the walk were covered with pine needles making it quite slippery. The rest of my group didn’t have a problem.

Great location, cute cottage

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cottage is on an excellent part of lake with beautiful views and great swimming and there is a lovely provincial park with enjoyable hiking very close by. The floating dock with ample seating is a highlight and a great place to spend the day. The dwelling itself is cute but damp with awkward lighting and an extremely unreliable wi-fi connection (just don't expect to do any work or be able to finish watching a movie). There are a few things that could be addressed to make it more pleasant: broken curtain rod and trim, smelly fridge with water leaking out from under the large produce drawer, old broken items lying around outside and stuffed under the docks, moldy window sills, gaps in the faux flooring, peeling/rotting outdoor furniture. The canoe is missing paddles and a front seat, which contributed to a dramatic capsize and rescue operation for our group and a squishy walk home off someone else's property from the nearest dock - be sure to wear a life vest and bag your phone! We did not use the bunkie as it smelled and a previous guest had left their clothes in it. The beds are extremely squishy, so be prepared to end up on one of the very comfortable couches instead. The shower is great and has the best water pressure in the place. It is hard to see to do the dishes (there are no lights over the sink). (Note: the lockbox is at the front door, not the back door as instructed, and the wi-fi network and password provided by Vrbo are incorrect.)

Great cottage stay

Felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Lots of space and very comfortable, especially the beds. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and not having to worry about brining our owns sheets and towels was nice. Very clean too. Down at the water, the dock had lots of seating. The water was really clean and deep off the dock and a good temperature already considering it was only June. The lake was big enough to paddle for a couple hours and still not explore everything. And the location of the cottage was far enough away from the main boat lanes that they didn’t disturb us with noise or waves. And our host was great. Timely on the information and checked in to see if all was good, but then left us alone to enjoy the cottage. Just the right level of attention.

Great cottage on the lake for family

A memorable stay for my wife and I, our 3 adult kids, son in law and infant grandchild. Bedrooms for everybody and plenty of space for boardgames and eating together. The lake view is terrific with peaceful early morning sunrises. We had very hot weather so the cottage could get hot but with fans (no AC) and dips in the lake we stayed comfortable. We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore the bay. Kim provided great instructions and the cottage was well outfited. Remember to bring suncreeen and bug spray.

Paudash Lake getaway

Cozy friendly cottage on the east shore of Paudash Lake. The lake is wonderful. There is a good dock and kayaks and a stand up paddle board come with the cottage rental. We easily slept 6 and the Bunkie was great for privacy for a daughter and her partner. Kitchen was very well supplied and had some basic spices as well, which was appreciated. Loved the screened in porch for early morning coffee and late evening hangout.

Wonderful Spot!!

We absolutely enjoyed our time here with our family. The cottage was just as shown with amazing views of the lake. We were 6 adults; me, my husband, kids, spouses and a toddler who loved playing in the bunky. The beds were very comfy including in the bunky where my daughter and partner stayed. The kitchen had everything we needed and the long kitchen Island was a great added space! We all spent a lot of time down at the huge dock which had loads of seating. The wonderful lake swimming was the icing on the cake. Kim was great at responding to any questions.

Great stay at Paudash Lake

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lake Paudash. The cottage was very well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated. Kitchen was a good size and had everything we needed. Lot's of choice for sleeping with 3 bedrooms, bunky and bunk beds in open area. All the beds were very comfortable. Kim was great to deal with always replying promptly with any information we needed. Location on the lake was great - lot's of sun in on the dock in the morning and some shade in the afternoon. Paudash is a very pretty, quiet lake, great for swimming.

Summer Splash

This was our second time staying at Kim's place. We enjoyed our time here last year so much that we delighted to return. Kim's attention to detail in the cottage makes it the most welcoming space. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and the bedding is top notch. It was warm outside during our stay, but we were never uncomfortable at night with the ceiling fans running. The kids enjoyed sleeping in the bunkie and swimming in the lake. Highly recommend!

Relaxing and Quiet!

We were at this cottage late in June, and it felt almost like we had the lake to ourselves as the full summer season hadn't started yet--very peaceful! The rooms were just as pictured, the kitchen had lots of counter space to work on, the owners had thought of pretty much everything we might need. The screened in porch was great for sitting bug-free in the evenings, and the dock was very spacious, with lots of Muskoka chair seating and a couple of cushioned and comfortable loungers. There was a stand up paddle board, a couple of kayaks and I believe there was also a canoe although we did not get a chance to use it. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful cottage

Beautiful cottage minutes from Silent Lake Provincial Park. About an hour away from Sir Sam’s ski hill. Lake behind the cottage was frozen enough so the kids could skate on it. Kim is a very friendly host who responds quickly to messages.

Quiet Winter Getaway

Rented this property to celebrate our birthdays and to get away from the city/work for much needed quiet time together. The property and area are very quiet, esp at night when it's pitch black outside. We literally did not see another person for the 5 days we were there. Communication and check in were very smooth and the house was the perfect size for the two of us and our little dog but still big enough for four of our friends to join us for an evening. Furnishings were comfortable, and beds were unbelievable. One thing to note is that there is fantastic light in the whole place, but that also meant no window coverings for the entire main floor. Was a bit uncomfortable with it at first but got used to it. Gas fireplace heats most of the building but also super heats the main bedroom that overlooks the living room via an open window. Again, just something we got used to by lowering the temp before going to bed. Not sure how comfortable this would be at the peak of summer. We were warned about wifi and possible power outages but never experienced either. If anything the wifi was amazing, esp for a rural setting. Would def book again for next fall or winter.

Soggy but happy.

Even though our stay was short and it unfortunately rained most of the time, we enjoyed our selves. Kitchen was well equipped but lighting was frustratingly inadequate. Colour scheme wAs very attractive as were the furnishings. Beds were very comfortable and felt like heaven. Kim was very responsive with communications.

Beautiful view, great location

Kim was lovely over the phone, and property is just beautiful. We loved the view of the lake, and rented a boat from the marina which fit perfectly on their strong dock. The lake itself is massive and a pure joy to explore. Lounging chairs on the dock were incredibly comfortable too. Located close to Silent Lake provincial park which is a must-see for gorgeous, well-maintained hiking trials, and we also enjoyed visiting close by towns. Overall the house is decorated well and well stocked with everything you need. It's tidy, but I will say it was not as clean as I would have liked and would have benefitted from a careful deep clean. The lighting was outdated and switches and outlets are strangley situated. Somehow the listing photos show overhead lighting in kitchen but there was none when we arrived. Luckily we had brought some lights of our own so we managed well but this definitely could be improved throughout the house. I think with a little extra TLC, including some landscaping in the back to tidy up equpiment and regain some of the massive property that is lost to trees and bushes would have easily made this a 5 star stay. Do recommend.

The water is clean and clear with no weeds, which makes for great swimming. You can jump right off the dock.
We have a canoe, 2 kayaks and a paddle board you are welcome to use on the lake to go exploring. There is cliff jumping and sandy beaches to explore on the lake.
