Clean unit in a rental apartment complex, with designated parking space in very tight private lot. This unit is accessed through a locked courtyard, and up 1.5 flights of stairs. Complex is a well-maintained, 100 year old building, quiet and convenient to the beach. Easy flat walk to restaurants, train station, wharf. My husband walked down to the beach every morning.Kitchen cooking supplies, dishes etc available in the unit, but nothing else except coffee, ice cubes, and champagne. So pack your salt and pepper :) Ralphs grocery store is a quick drive and extremely well-stocked. Clean BBQ on the porch works great. Balcony porch a nice spot for breakfast and dinners, there's 2 comfy lounge chairs and a small bistro-style table and chairs. Tiny and cute dishwasher in kitchen is super handy for longer stays.I appreciated that there was no skimping on linens! There are plenty of towels, extra blankets, kitchen towels, beach towels. Washer dryer in bedroom closet if needed.Items that are no fault of the unit/stay: This is in a busy area, so street traffic was pretty constant all day and night as a shortcut through town. Two addresses next door are being renovated, and construction noise started early. We kept every window open all night long, due to a late heatwave. There's 1 ceiling fan over the bed, and 2 portable fans. My husband was yearning for AC! It was pouring rain by the time we left, so the joke's on him. All in all, a nice place to stay.
