Great place for family reunion.

Enjoyed our stay here. It was a perfect place for our family reunion. The kids enjoyed the pool and all the games, the adults enjoyed the hot tub and games and everyone enjoyed homemade ice cream.

BEAUTIFUL ESCAPE

They have thought of EVERYTHING! Not only was this the perfect place for our huge family, but we didn't have to worry about toxic smells & chemicals, because they use the same natural products we've used for over 22yrs! What a blessing! We will have our family gathering here every year! Absolutely the best!

Girls Reunion

The 9 of us had a fabulous stay! The owners/host thought of everything! We couldn't have asked for a place that fit our needs any better than this gorgeous home! The sitting was within about 15 minutes of First Monday, the trees were so peaceful! There were so many amenities that we didn't even have time to take advantage of! We all said we want to come back so we can enjoy this amazing home again!

Far exceeded our expectations

This home is beautiful. It truly is a lot like your own personal resort. It’s secluded, clean, and huge! The house had everything we needed for our stay. We had a small gathering of family and the kids had the best time playing in the pool. Great communication with the host, small stores, dollar store less than 3 miles away. It’s a dream home, you will not regret choosing this property.

Fantastic Place!

We had an awesome stay and Julie was an awesome hostess! The place was beautiful! The kitchen was fully stocked. We were looking to see if there was an air fryer for our leftovers and she said no but wanted to get one. The next morning she had ordered one and it was on the front porch! She answered every question without any delay. It was a 5 star stay!

Absolutely wonderful!

We rented this amazing property for family and friends to gather prior to an important family event. It was perfect! Everyone had a comfortable space, the kitchen and outdoor kitchen were perfect for cooking, and everyone enjoyed the pool! Julie was amazing to work with We would 100% stay here in the future!

WONDERFUL FAMILY GETAWAY

We had such a beautiful time staying at the Canton Cabin, great big family kitchen for cooking meals and amazing backyard and pool - the kids and entire family were all entertained the for the whole weekend and we never once had to leave the property. Would love to come back and stay again - hosts are incredibly sweet and accommodating :) <3

A Great Weekend Spot

Rented this place with some friends for a weekend reunion. A perfect spot for large groups. Away but with all the necessary amenities to truly relax. Would highly recommend.

Perfect for Our Girls Weekend Getaway

We used the house for a weekend girls trip and it was great. There is plenty of space (we had 15 adults) so no one felt crowded. Lots of bed space, huge dining and living spaces and great kitchen for cooking large meals. I would advise bringing some knives if you're prepping a lot of food as either people have taken the knives or they just don't have many available, but there were really no good chopping knives. They are not kidding in that there are plenty of towels to go around which is great. The pool is spacious and even gets some shade during part of the day (the spa is also covered which looks new). Only had one minor hiccup (DVD player was missing from great room), but the owner was very responsive, offered to replace immediately, and it was not disruptive to our stay. My only two pieces of feedback would be that it would be so awesome to have more than 15 place settings available as we had to constantly wash dishes and run the dishwasher in between meals. Not a huge issue, but for a house that seems like it's constantly hosting a large amount, I think it would be helpful. The other is that the manuals and the instructions left in the room are conflicting and probably should be updated. The checkout instructions are different and it led to a little bit of confusion for our group. All in all, the house was great for our gathering and I would highly recommend staying here!

Great Extended Family Retreat

The log home is very impressive! Everyone was excited to be there. Every summer my husband and I and our children and grandchildren spend vacation time together. There are 12 of us, and there was plenty of room. We had space to play games both inside and outside. The pool was a big hit with kids and adults. The outdoor kitchen and play space was great. The inside kitchen was super clean, even the pots and pans shine! There was lots of useful supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). The owner was quick to reply to any inquiry. Thanks for a great time!

AWESOME Family Girl’s Retreat

Our family had an incredible time at the cabin. All the girls in our family ranging in age 4-63 yrs old. had various activities to keep busy or just relax. We had lots of room inside and out, a playground to keep our little ones busy, a hot tub for adults to relax in, a large patio area to sit around and chat, lots of games and a well stocked organized kitchen. Julie and her daughter went above and beyond to make our stay easy and comfortable. They prepared special Easter baskets for our young girls to enjoy, which they loved! The cabin was super clean and organized. The city of Canton is a quick drive with fabulous shops and restaurants. Our family had a memorable time and would not hesitate to return or recommend this large cozy cabin. ❤️❤️❤️

Great family getaway

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the log cabin. Seven of us stayed here, and we had plenty of extra room. The cabin truly is fully stocked. The beds are super comfortable, and all the linens are plush. It's blissfully quiet, and there are plenty of non-electronic things to do. We really enjoyed being able to barbecue large meals, sit around the fire pit making s'mores, and just unplug and unwind. The massage chair was fabulous. The hosts were amazing. We definitely recommend it!

Wonderful House for a group

The house was perfect for our group of 12 and could easily sleep more. It had everything you could ask for including, BONUS, an ice machine. That was a wonderful surprise. We didn't have to run out for ice. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. Lots of space outside to hang out. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

Family get away

This cabin is absolutely amazing and was perfect for my large family. Property is well kept and maintained. The owner really leaves a ton of towlines and linens. The entire house was ready with paper towels and toilet tissue.The host was perfect throughout our stay a communicated with us great and timely. Although grandma lives on the property you would never know she was there great place to stay my family and I are already looking to book our next weekend getaway

We are a homeschool family with two children of eleven still at home. We have seventeen grandchildren! We love this home - we built it with our own hands from 2005 to 2007. The kids do the grounds-keeping and cleaning of the property to help them learn to work hard and do a good job. We would love to share our home with you!

Please note - There is an attached apartment, accessible through the garage. If we are on property, we will be staying there. We do not bother guests, but we are accessible if needed.

We are close enough to Dallas to enjoy a day in the city, yet far enough out to see the bright stars at night in the dark country sky.
