Komm und bleib bei uns im wunderschönen und friedlichen Vogelnest

Das Vogelnest befindet sich in einer ruhigen Gegend, die von üppigem Grün umgeben ist. Tagsüber sind Vogelstimmen zu hören und nachts Laubfrösche. Das Haus befindet sich hoch über dem Boden und vermittelt das Gefühl, in einem Baumhaus zu wohnen. Die Straße vor dem Haus ist asphaltiert und steht für Spaziergänge oder Läufe zur Verfügung. Wir sind etwa 4 Meilen von ein paar schönen Wanderungen zu einem schwarzen und weißen Sandstrand oder Gezeitenbecken entfernt.

Wir befinden uns ca. 15 Minuten von Hilo, 8 km von Pahoa und 6 km vom Meer und den Klippen entfernt. Der Volcano National Park ist ungefähr 30 Autominuten entfernt und wir sind ungefähr 1 1/2 Autostunden über die Saddle Road zu den weißen Sandstränden.

Bird's Nest in Paradise

We had a wonderful stay at the Bird's Nest! It is a clean, comfortable, welcoming home in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen, playing board games in the evening and falling asleep to the sounds of nature Khym is an amazing host! We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Bird’s Nest! Location was very convenient, communication was great, and we really enjoyed everything the home offered from the well stocked kitchenware for cooking, the relaxing deck, comfortable beds and nice shower/bathroom. Unique and comforting place to stay

We stayed at the Bird’s nest for three days. The house is decorated well, feels like home. I really like the scented fresh flower in the bathroom. All rooms are clean with all the appliances we needed. We had great stay there surrounded by the tree frogs’ songs.

cosy and well-run

The Bird's Nest is as cosy as its name implies. It's also quiet, well-located, and well-run by thoughtful hosts who have provided almost everything you might need. It's one of the few places I've stayed with a superior kitchen-- in case you want to cook some of those lovely purchases from the local Sunday farmer's market. I would gladly stay there again, and I plan to!

Wonderful stay

This place is absolutely wonderful. Very clean, nicely decorated, and stocked with everything you might need (including umbrellas and coolers!). Our favorite part was the beautiful porch overlooking the back yard. It’s a great spot to relax and quietly enjoy the lush greenery. Would recommend this place and come back any time.

Hilo adjacent retreat

The Bird's Nest is a beautiful home a little distance from Hilo but quite convenient for going up to Volcano National Park. Both places were highlights of our trip. The abundant lizards, frogs and birds on the property delighted my son and husband.

Great property in HPP!

Khymberly's property was just right for us. We liked being raised up on a 2nd floor level. The grounds were wonderful and the wildlife entertaining. Close to the Puna trail to Shipman's beach and other attractions in the area. A relatively short drive to Hilo as well. The beds were comfy, the amenities just right and a wonderful base camp. Recommended!

Hawaiian Paradise Park

Comfortable stay. Stayed cool inside for the most part, even though no A/C. Sleeping arrangement for 5 people was very comfortable. Felt secluded with the beautiful garden. Much different experience than staying in a hotel, able to hear the frogs all night and the doves in the day time.

Beautiful Property, Excellent Experience

We enjoyed our stay at The Bird’s Nest. The property is spacious, clean and well equipped. It was a perfect place to hangout. Check in was easy and the hosts provided a plate of fresh fruit which was much appreciated as our flights to the Island arrived late in the evening. Beautiful place to stay when visiting Volcanoes National Park

We had a wonderful stay at the Bird's Nest while visiting Volcanoes National Park! This is a clean and comfortable home in a lovely neighborhood. There is easy access to the National Park and to the Hilo airport (about 25 minutes away). We loved falling asleep to the sound of the frogs. The roosters are a little less welcome in the morning, but the host provides earplugs if you need them! The beds are very comfortable and we all slept great. Kitchen is very well-equipped. Excellent communication from the host. Mahalo!

Great home base for sightseeing

This house was perfect for our needs and had everything we as a family of two adults and two small kids could ask for. The house was very clean and even had beach equipment and a washer and dryer. In addition to the great amenities, the house was close enough to all the things we wanted to see (volcanos, waterfalls, etc). Such a great experience. Thank you!!

Wonderful stay at the Bird’s Nest!

This beautiful vacation home was perfect for our family. Our two young children enjoyed searching for lizards and exploring the private yard. We enjoyed peaceful mornings and evenings on the patio. The house is equipped with all you need for your stay and is comfortable and inviting. Access to East side of the island was great. Communication with the hosts was great. We highly recommend the Bird’s Nest and will stay here again in our next visit to the Big Island.

Hilo side near Puna

We very much enjoyed our stay at the "Birds Nest". We were serenaded by birds, frogs, and crickets overnight and the occasional rooster in the morning. The home is furnished nicely and is well set up for a small family or 2 couples traveling together. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need and they have many staples available for you to use. The grounds are very pretty and the outdoor space is very usable. We would definitely stay here again.

We decided to build the house that sits on it now & turn it into a vacation rental, the "Bird's Nest," so that we could create a relaxing & peaceful living space for guests to stay in & feel a part of the Big Island's community, our community, while traveling. We love meeting people from around the world.

The Bird's Nest is located in a peaceful neighborhood & was built on a second story so it almost feels like your in a tree house. Since clearing the land, we have been slowly trying to bring back some of the native Hawaiian plants & fruit trees onto the property to give it a tropical feel. There are bird songs to be heard during the day & coqui frog chirps to be heard at night.
