We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! The area is peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. I accidentally left something behind after we checked out, and the host went above and beyond to help—locating it quickly and even mailing it back to me. Excellent communication and hospitality. We would absolutely recommend this cabin and hope to stay again in the future!

Wonderful Cabin

We took our grandkids for a long weekend of hiking and playing in the river. This cabin was wonderful and everyone had a blast. The host is very responsive and everything was perfect. We will be back!!

Great Cabin, secluded located, lots of room to spread out. Close to lots of great hiking and floating of course. Would recommend an all wheel drive vehicle for the driveway, pretty steep for the mama bear cabin

Family Trip

This was a family trip, in order to see the older sister who lives local! It was wonderful to be able to have a family setting for our visit. The cabin and fire pit was perfect for reflection of days gone by! We wish we would of stayed 1 more night!

Great cabin in the woods

This cabin was a great size for our family (4 adults + 3 children) and we were completely isolated in the woods near the Buffalo and numerous hiking trails. We spent one day exploring some of the many waterfalls in the area and of course hiked to Hawksbill Crag for sunrise. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed for the weekend.

A wonderful place to stay!!

I don't usually write reviews but this place is absolutely fabulous! The owners have thought of everything and I will definitely be back. Don't drive a car in though the driveway is pretty steep and definitely calls for a truck or SUV. It does offer complete privacy and the perfect atmosphere! 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Relaxing weekend

We spent an unseasonably cool late March weekend in the Mama Bear cabin. Since our outdoor activities were limited we enjoyed the clean and comfortable cabin, well appointed kitchen, and especially the fireplace. We would certainly come back.

We were all surprised by how wonderful the accommodations we're and the attention to detail!

What a beautiful home in a serene setting!! The hosts were so friendly and added to the charm of the cabin! I booked my second trip as soon as I got home! I am tempted to say it's terrible so word doesn't get out as to how great of a place this is and it is hard to book it! Trust me you will love everything about it!

Secluded Getaway

We absolutely loved staying here and it was truly quiet and you felt alone in the woods. Many places in the area are exposed to road noise, traffic, and close neighbors but this cabin is the perfect getaway from all of that while still being close to all the Buffalo river has to offer. You can really tell Dianne cares about her property and guests as the house was fully stocked with everything you could need for the weekend (chairs, lighters, grill, olive oil, pots, pans, and more!). We will definitely be back!

Amazing value in the heart of everything. The cabin is well appropriated and the hosts are friendly.

Coming to Mama bear to get away? This cabin will have everything you need. The kitchen is stocked, the rooms are spacious and the cabin even smells amazing. Firewood is stocked and the fire pit is great. I had cell service the entire weekend and wifi was strong. 5 minute drive to big bluff trail, and 10 minutes to the BOC. Look no where else the value in the VRBO is 5/5.

We were going to catch the fall colors. But we were disappointed with the browning of leaves. But the stay at the cabin was just great. Could not have made a better choice. Details where just over the top. Owners were great folks. Looking forward to going back.

Upon retirement, my husband and I moved from Texas to this secluded 40-acre mountain property just 4 miles above the Buffalo River recreation area. We've recently constructed two new cedar log cabins in private areas of the property for visitors to the area to enjoy. We've taken great care to construct and furnish top-notch cabins with modern amenities yet still preserving a true cabin experience.
