Martinique-on-the-Gulf ist eine wunderschöne Wohnanlage am Strand im Stil der Westindischen Inseln mit malerischen Häusern und wunderschöner Landschaftsgestaltung.

Marisol liegt etwa 3 Minuten mit dem Golfwagen vom Strand entfernt. GOLF CART PARKING IST BEACH SIDE VERFÜGBAR, und ein 6-Sitzer Golfwagen wird mit Ihrer Miete geliefert.

JEDER, DER DEN GOLFWAGEN FAHRT, MUSS MINDESTENS 21 JAHRE ALT SEIN UND EINE GÜLTIGE FAHRERLIZENZ HABEN.

Marisol ist ein dreistöckiges Haus, das über 2.200 Quadratmeter Fläche in 4 Schlafzimmern, 3 Vollbädern, zwei Balkonen und einer abgeschirmten Veranda bietet.

Der erste Stock umfasst ein Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett und ein Vollbad sowie ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer, eine Küche und ein Esszimmer. Vollwaschmaschine und Trockner stehen im Wäschebereich zur Verfügung. Neben der Küche befindet sich eine entspannende, abgeschirmte Veranda mit Blick auf das Naturschutzgebiet, um die Privatsphäre zu schützen.

Der zweite Stock umfasst ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne und großer ebenerdiger Dusche. Es gibt einen privaten Balkon neben dem Hauptschlafzimmer, auf dem Sie zwei Schaukelstühle finden, die perfekt für den Morgenkaffee geeignet sind.

Ebenfalls im zweiten Stock befindet sich ein Queen-Gästezimmer mit angeschlossenem Bad. Es gibt auch ein Tagesbett mit Rollbett in diesem Raum. Diese Zimmer verfügen über einen eigenen Balkon mit Blick auf das Naturschutzgebiet.

Das vierte Schlafzimmer ist ein Krähennest im dritten Stock. Es verfügt über ein Tagesbett mit Rollbett und einen Sitzbereich.

Family vacation

The Marisol was a great place for my family to stay. We had 10 people (5 kids ages 10-14) and 5 adults. There was plenty of room and bathrooms. Everything was nice and clean. We flew in from Michigan so we were limited on what we could bring. There was as least 15 chairs that we could use at the beach. There were 2 bikes and several floaties and boogie boards I assume which were left from previous renters. Having the 6 person golf cart was awesome. The pools were nice and the ocean/beach was wonderful. Negatives were the listing said there were TVs in every room. While there were, it appears 3 of them had no cable and or weren’t smart TVs so you couldn’t watch anything. There were no directions if there was a certain way to make them work. Our fitness key fobs wouldn’t work. But I texted the owner and he was great at communicating and fixing the issue right away! The tires on the golf cart are getting pretty bald so we were worried they might blow up on us or something. The resort is VERY strict on where you park and having your parking passes filled out. They have security going around ticketing people for these violations. The owner strongly expressed this so we were good and didn’t get any tickets but our neighbor wasn’t as lucky. But the resort is very nicely kept probably because of them being so strict. There were no instructions on how to leave the rental. It’s about 30 mins from Gulf Shores and stores.

The house was perfect for our family. Plenty of comfortable beds and a table large enough for eating and game playing and a well equipped kitchen. It was fun using the golf cart to go to the pools and beach. The Martinique community with its pools and beach access was very nice and well kept. Did not have any problem with security because we parked where we were supposed to and had our hanging tags on at all times. Would definitely stay here again.

Fourth trip to Marisol

This is our 4th trip to Marisol. Every year gets better. Our teenage grandsons traveled with us again this year and had another great summer vacation. The purple flag was flying indicating jellyfish and other marine animals. By the third day, the ocean had calmed down and made for another great family vacation. Looking forward to next year.

Best Family Vacation

The Marisol is absolutely perfect for a family vacation. The house is very spacious, and holds everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are a variety of pots and pans, utensils, drink ware, and an abundance of beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas. The bikes and golf cart were an awesome bonus to our stay. The neighborhood is beautiful, all of the gate staff were extremely friendly, and having the private beach made everyone feel super safe. The owner was very communicative and fast at replying. It was our first time visiting gulf shores and we are already booking next years return visit.

Last Time At Martinique

We have stayed at Martinique numerous times, but this will probably be our last. It seems that the HOA really doesn't want renters in their community. Marisol was a clean house with a nice lay-out and perfect for our group of nine. As most of the homes in Martinique, they are showing their age, and in need of some upgrades. The most obvious at Marisol was the carpet. It was really old and dirty with lots of stains. This however, didn't affect our stay. One of the biggest problems in Martinique is the parking situation. It seems that this year, they are really cracking down on the number of vehicles per rental. With many of the units housing 10 to 13 people, two cars is really not doable. Our family had multiple cars for various reasons, ranging from some leaving early or others arriving late. It was quite inconvenient to pay extra to park vehicles off-site and pay extra for that privilege. The threats of fines and expulsion from the property were off-putting, as well as the fact that the golf cart driver had to be at least 21 due to insurance purposes. Again, we love Martinique, but it seems that the rules changed concerning parking. In the past, we had paid for additional decals and parked either at the pool or at the condo lot. We could have done that this year, as there was plenty of spaces available, and we were there on one of the peak weeks of the season. So, we won't be planning our Thanksgiving trip to Martinique this year or our summer vacation next year!

Back for our second year....

This was our second year staying at Marisol. Our grandsons are already talking about our trip for next year. This house is a good size for 7 people. The grandsons like the loft and have their own little "hang-out." We would alternate time at the beach and pools. We appreciate the beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. We fly from Colorado so we do not have space for those items. We had a great time at Marisol. Teel Family

Great for a getaway

Perfect for us as nature lovers and was very quiet and felt secluded even though you are in a very nice neighborhood. The golf cart and the bikes were great to have. We enjoyed the pools and the beach. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do. We spent a lot of time on the various porches. We all hated to leave and would come back in a minute!

Nice home surrounded by nature

This was such a wonderful vacation spot, we will definitely be back. This home is very nice, surrounded by wetlands and beautiful views. I was honestly a bit apprehensive about booking a home that was not on the beach, but this house still had lovely scenery to offer, and the 6-person golf cart made travel to the beach so convenient...and fun. Martinique on the Gulf (neighborhood/community) definitely exceeded our expectations. Its lush, tropical landscape throughout and exclusive-feel made walks, bike rides and golf cart trips very pleasant and full of scenery. Having a security booth at the neighborhood entrance and security personnel patrolling on golf carts prevented the public from accessing the pools and beach. The pool feels a little resort-like (minus swim-up bars), and the beach is magnificent. After parking the golf cart in a designated area, you walk through small dunes covered in tropical foliage, around the pool, and across a wooden boardwalk that passes over a protected sand dune area to meet the private, white-sand beach. Looking to the right there are a few houses and buildings, typical of vacation beaches, but to the left you’ll find absolutely nothing but dunes and nature preserve behind the beach. You can walk for miles without seeing a building. It was stunning and very unexpected. I travelled with my adult children. We were all in agreement that “night-beaching” may have been one of our favorite activities. We spent several nights in beach chairs, gazing at the moonlight on the water, enjoying the stars, gabbing and listening to music. Precious family time. The nearest restaurants, grocery stores and entertainment are about a 15-minute drive, worth it for the privacy of this community. Silly, but I would have liked the interior paint color of the house to be lighter/brighter, the house is kind of dark - just personal preference though. Some of the furniture is a little dated/worn, but clean. The space accommodated our family nicely, and the fact that the golf cart, bikes, beach chairs, and umbrellas were provided was such a nice bonus. Having enjoyed a week here, I would recommend it, especially for the nature-lover.

Wonderful house!!!

House was just as pictured. Plenty of room for our family of 9. Kitchen had every thing you need for cooking your meals. The beds were very comfortable and house was spotless. I would recommend this house for a great stay. The large golf cart was awesome for loading up and going to the beach. Great pools and fitness center was well used.

Peaceful Property

We had a nice stay at Marisol, everyone enjoyed the golf cart and property. Great communication with property management and very helpful. We were disappointed with the ONLY TWO vehicle policy. We had other family at The Beach Club and it created an issue for us when they came to visit and eat supper. Great place to stay but be aware that there are only two vehicles allowed and strictly monitored by security.

Fabulous Location!!!

We absolutely loved this house. The gated community with the polls, exercise room, spa, Jacuzzi, walking trails were awesome!! We also loved the bikes, golf cart and pool gear available. Fully stocked house with grill. Easy communication with the owner!!! We will be back!

Wonderful Vacation, family time!

I cannot recommend this home enough. The home was perfect for our family. Pete was very helpful and immediately responded to any questions we had. We usually go to Destin, decided to try something different this year. We will definitely go back. Less traffic, less stress and the perfect vacation home for a large family!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Marisol. The property was perfect for us. We also enjoyed the 2 pools and of course the beach.

This is a beautiful home located on a quiet cul-de-sac bordered by wild life preserve. The resort is beachfront, and while the home is within walking distance to the beach, parking IS available beachside which eliminates the headache of someone having to drop the family off and then walking back to the beach.

Martinique-on-the-Gulf is a beautiful resort community located on the ocean. Martinique is unique in that it is bordered by the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge which gives you miles of empty beach adjoining the property.
