Our family of 15, 10 adults and 5 grandchildren between 8 and 1 had a wonderful time as the three, 143, 145 and 149, condos were a perfect accommodation.

50th Anniversary Family Vacation

We took our three children, their spouses and our 9 grandchildren ages 5 - 27 to Hawaii for our 50th anniversary. These three condos were great for our family. There was plenty of room, they were in a great location with plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. The resort is great for families. Everything you need is available. The condos, the service and the resort exceeded our expectations. We had a great time and would highly recommend the condos.

Beautiful resort

We rented 3 condos for our family group of 17 people. The three bedroom was really beautiful! The two bedroom condos weren’t as nicely decorated and appliances were not as nice but that really was no big deal. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms well equipped and so was the kitchen. We did see a few cockroaches and a big centipede type insect and the doors and walls could use some wiping down. Check in was a little odd. The bell hop area was a mess and we waited for a while for someone to show up so we could check in. He didn’t communicate very well or explain anything to us about the resort. But all in all it was a fantastic stay, and I would stay here again.

Beautiful property grounds and pools

We originally rented units #143, #145 & #149 in the Kōloa Tower. Six months after our reservation was made and confirmed with deposit placed, we were notified that the condo owner of #149 wanted the unit for the time that included our stay so they would need to move us. Fortunately we were able to move up one floor to #249 so we were still in the general area with the rest of our friends. The 143 and 145 units were great.. Unit 249 had a beautiful view but we had cockroach problems in the kitchen during the entire stay. We called the management and they sent someone to spray. We still continued to find live roaches so called again and they came and set traps and sprayed again. The maintenance worker told me the roaches just keep moving from one unit to another. We would find them on the kitchen counter, Island counter and in the drawers and cupboards. We took extra precautions to ziplock all our food, sweep after each meal, regularly remove the trash but to no avail. The units are very spacious and overall a beautiful facility.

We apologize that the condo owner’s stay had an impact on your tandem units, and that the alternative unit had some pests. Bugs are a part of a tropical environment, and while the Honua Kai performs quarterly pest treatments, on occasion they find their way back in. We’re sorry that our team’s further efforts to treat the bugs were not completely effective. This home was professionally treated twice since your stay, and we’ve had no further issues. Our standard of service is to offer a pristine unit upon your arrival and throughout your stay, so we are sincerely sorry that we fell short of our service standard with you. Family Fantasy

This property was really idyllic for our family. The rooms were spacious and well furnished, the kitchens well equipped, and the connected lanais allowed for easy access and sharing. Everyone had ample space to relax and have fun. The location is perfect for children and adults - easy access to the variety of pools and the beach. I noted that our adult children were not shy about referring to a repeat trip. Communication from the property managers was detailed and through, making it easy to navigate arrival and departure and use of the space. The few questions we had were answered promptly and courteously. This was the best VRBO property we have ever rented.
