Ein mehrfach ausgezeichnetes denkmalgeschütztes Steingut im Herzen eines schönen Dorfes in Rutland.

Das Old Forge verfügt über ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer, das stilvoll mit modernen Möbeln eingerichtet ist und über eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche verfügt.

Sie können zu den ausgezeichneten Dorfladen, Pub und Café gehen. Es ist eine kurze Fahrt zum schönen Stamford, Oakham und Rutland Water.

Die Unterkunft verfügt über Massivholzböden im gesamten Erdgeschoss und bietet Aussicht auf den Dorfplatz.

Das Anwesen begann als Dorfschmiede und hat sich im Laufe der Zeit als Tankstelle in den 1950er Jahren und in jüngerer Zeit als Dorfarzt und als Fotostudio entwickelt.

Umgewandelt in sein aktuelles Format und Gewinner der prestigeträchtigen George Phillips und civic trust awards bietet es ein exzellentes Ferienhaus mit vielen Originaldetails wie originale Türen, Sichtmauerwerk und Mauerwerk gepaart mit stilvollen Möbeln von B & B Italia und luxuriösen, modernen Geräten von Siemens, Bosch , Fischer und Paykel, Bang und Olufsen und Miele.

Im Untergeschoss befindet sich ein separater Bereich, während die obere Unterkunft zwei Doppelschlafzimmer, eines davon mit einem Doppelbett und einem Kingsize-Bett, umfasst.

Die Küche hat einen Elektroofen, Mikrowelle, Halogen-Kochfeld, Geschirrspüler und viele Küchenhelfer! Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an Küchengrundlagen und viele Kochbücher zum inspirieren.

Es gibt schnelle Glasfaser-Breitband-und TV mit Netflix und andere Online-Dienste in der Nähe. Es gibt auch eine gute Auswahl an DVDs.

Musikliebhaber werden die Bang & Olufsen Stereoanlage mit Bluetooth-Anschluss genießen.

Das Anwesen verfügt über eine Wendeltreppe zu einem Schlafzimmer und ist daher nicht für Kleinkinder oder Kleinkinder geeignet.

Es gibt Stauraum und Platz zum Aufhängen von Kleidung und anderen persönlichen Gegenständen.

Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine freistehende Badewanne mit Duschvorrichtung.

Very comfortable and great location

The house was very well equipped and comfortable. It was in a great location - a minute walk from the pub and village shop, and not too far from places to visit and for walking. Communication with Alex was very speedy.

Fantastic

We had a lovely couple of days at the Forge. The house was lovely, perfect for what we needed. Alex was incredibly helpful with advice of where to go and availability if we needed anything. Also recommend the community shop in the village, lovely people. Would love to go back.

Great house in a beautiful location. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect house for a couple or family. It is very well equipped and you will have everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The house is clean and beautifully furnished. There is a double bedroom with en-suite (the only bathroom, although there is a toilet downstairs), and another smaller double bedroom. There is also a “snug” which is a great TV/games room, and there are lots of games and dvds to keep you entertained. A wee word of caution, the shower is over the beautiful free standing bath. It’s quite a high step to get in and out of, and at only 5’ 2” there was much room between my head and the ceiling. Not a deal breaker though, we’d thoroughly recommend this property. Market Overton is a great base to explore the surrounding area, visits to Rutland Water and Stamford are a must. Burleigh House is impressive but it is a bit like walking through an art gallery, not the stately home we expected. There are loads of walks, and the house has a good set of OS maps (thanks Alex). The local pub is close by and serves good food and has lovely friendly staff.

Amazing stay!

We stayed at this property as a friend and I were racing in the Vitruvian Middle Distance Triathlon and this property was 10mins drive away from the start. About 2 weeks before we arrived, we emailed Alex to ask about restaurant recommendations and he was really helpful with sending through a variety of suggestions and local shops. We ended up eating in the local pub and the barman was very friendly and the steak was amazing!!! We received very clear instructions on how to get into the property and how to use the equipment (coffee maker, dishwasher sound system etc) in the house. On arrival, we found a loaf of bread (baked locally) and milk in the fridge which was a wonderful welcome. The property is clean and tidy, and very comfortable (had a great 2 nights sleep). The spiral staircases may be a bit tricky for those unsteady on their feet. It was a lovely stay and a highly recommended property.

Beautiful property and friendly host

We stayed at Alex's property for a nearby music festival and it was perfect! Alex was very attentive giving and in depth guide and instructions prior to arriving. We arrived to chocolates, sweets and coffee which was a lovely touch and much appreciated after a long shift! The house itself was beautiful the pictures don't do it justice. The area is very quaint and picturesque. We were sad to leave would definitely stay again. Thank you :)

Stunning house set in a perfect location

Set in a lovely village this stunning house had everything we could need. We stayed here recently for two days whilst on route to Newcastle. The location was perfect, set just off of the A1 and in a very quiet setting. The house was extremely well equipped with games, dvds, an amazing entertainment system and extremely comfortable furnishings. The owner was very helpful from start to finish and answered every question that we had as well as recommending local days out. I would highly recommend this property and would love to visit again if we are in the area.

Fantastic place to stay and the owner is extremely helpful, going out of his way to provide everything you need. (Due to a medical issue i neded a landline available, out of 20 properties i asked only this owner responded by offering to purchase one giving me the peace of mind to have a short break away)

Lovely stay in rural village in Rutland

Can highly recommend Alex’s place in Market Overton. We felt completely at home, the property is even better than the pictures portray. Great location to explore Rutland, highly recommend the Hambleton bakery bread, the Fox and Hounds in Exton and the Olive Branch in Clipsham. All of these came from a wealth of pre arrival information that Alex supplied, such a great host.

Beautifully restored historic building, perfect to get away from it all
