We truly enjoyed our stay at Chris & Donna’s property on the Stillwater. A beautiful apartment with all the amenities… 360 degrees breathtaking views ON the Stillwater River with welcoming host/hostess. Only wish I could have landed a few more trouts :) but it was fun just to be throwing flies surrounded by this gorgeous scenery.

This property exceeded our expectations! It is beautiful and the cabin sits on a large parcel of land that is well maintained on the Stillwater River. The hosts were fantastic. The river is beautiful and you can hear the rushing water from the outside of the cabin. We saw deer and geese and walked along side the river from the property. The area also is within 30-45 minutes from breathtaking and private hikes to secluded mountain lakes and streams. We will certainly be back to stay in the future!

Very nice and peaceful location. The view of the rolling hills, mountains in the background and the river running just outside your doorstep was a nice experience first thing in the morning. The house/cabin was very clean and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Stunning scenery & perfect cabin

This was our first trip to Montana, but this has to be one of the most beautiful places in the state. The scenery from the cabin alone far exceeded our expectations. The cabin is perfectly well-appointed with everything you need. The hosts are great and super helpful if you need anything. Highly recommend.

Far more than we expected!

Fishtail was a beautiful place and this rental was the perfect fit. Scenic views in every direction, weather was perfect, people were friendly, and the trout were biting. Close drive to Mystic Lake which is another must see. This is the perfect getaway for solitude, outdoors, scenery, and fishing. We loved every minute! Thank you Donna for sharing your beautiful place with us!

3rd time here in 4 years. The place is always very clean and has everything i need to accommodate my trip such as washer/dryer and complete kitchen. A very well manicured property on the outside too.

Exceptional property and host

The most beautiful country I had ever visited. The apartment is fully stocked with everything you need. Located right on the Stillwater River, it is very relaxing. Donna is enthusiastic about the region and very knowledgeable. We will return.

Idyllic Retreat

This is as beautiful a setting as anywhere a person could find. Views of the mountain and river and sounds of the river and birds. Super nice accommodations. Spacious, tastefully decorated. Well equipped kitchen. Good faucets and appliances. Good mattresses, good sheets and towels. SUPER nice hosts. Recommend a river trip with the accomplished guide. Easy communications with hosts. We look forward to returning.

Dreamy garden apartment in an unforgettable location.

I stayed here for a week in June. I did not want to leave. The apartment faces down the property line to the Stillwater River and you have full access to the yard and river. Go fish. Inside, it is immaculate and well decorated and the kitchen is well stocked with quality cooking gear. The bedroom is amazing as you can look out toward the river while enjoying a cool breeze and reading in bed. I did not want to leave. If you stay here, you MUST go hike up to Sioux Charley Lake and check the local establishments. You are off the main tack here, and its wonderfully beautiful and quiet. Also, do not use RTE 419 to get there. Take RTE 420. Its a maintained dirt road that follows the Stillwater along a gorgeous valley.
