Neu auf dem Markt und 2018 komplett renoviert: Spanische Kolonialvilla im historischen Garza Blanca, südlich der Romantischen Zone an der Banderas Bucht in Puerto Vallarta. 2500 Quadratmeter luxuriöses Wohnen mit modernen Annehmlichkeiten und klassischen mexikanischen Architekturdetails, eingebettet zwischen üppigem Wald, Bergen und Meer. Brandneue Geräte der Spitzenklasse, Wasser- und Elektroinstallationen. Diese kleine Enklave, Villas Altas Garza Blanca, liegt auf einem Hügel in der Sierra Madres, in einer mit Bougainvillea bewachsenen Kopfsteinpflasterstraße.

Jedes Zimmer bietet Meerblick, einschließlich der beiden Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett, einem aktualisierten Bad, Gewölbedecken, romantischer Beleuchtung und atemberaubendem Meerblick. Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über eine Mini-Split-Klimaanlage und einen Deckenventilator, einen Smart-TV, ein Premium-Soundsystem, luxuriöse Baumwollbettwäsche und Daunenkissen. We had a wonderful stay. The house was everything it promised. The views were amazing there was so much space with multiple balconies and cozy little sitting areas. We spent so much time in the pool and relaxing on the patio. The area is magnificent we never ran out of things to do. We were planning a return trip before we even left.

Excellent Week in Puerto Vallarta

This villa is something special. Our family of 4 adults stayed here Christmas week and we could not have made a better choice. The villa is gorgeous, private, and well fit out. We loved spending late afternoons into the evening in the pool and having our meals out on the dining terrace. The sunset views from every window and terrace were beautiful and the responsiveness of Michele and Elba, the onsite manager, was remarkable. When returning to PuertoVallarta, we would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing first time in Puerto Vallarta

We had a great time staying at this stunningly gorgeous, private villa, perched above the sea. It was fairly easy to get around using Uber. It's pretty precarious trying to walk along the highway for very far, but you can get to the Garza Blanca Resort, which has a restaurant and a beach, among other amenities, on foot fairly easily. Communication with the owner was excellent, as were the instructions provided initially. Highly recommended!

Beautiful stay in the jungle

Spent four days at Villa Mariposas and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of being out of the hustle and bustle of downtown PV enjoying the birds and beautiful foliage. The home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The private pool was the perfect temperature, refreshing but not too cold. The owner, Michele, provides all the information you need from tours, stores, beaches and restaurants. The check-on process was extremely easy and simple. Would definitely recommend Uber for travel that is not within walking distance. Will definitely book again!

Villa Mariposas is exactly as pictured-beautiful, comfortable, relaxing and clean. Elba is a rockstar who will take care of everything for you and was extremely responsive to any requests. The pool is small but I enjoyed it every day and loved that it was private and heated. The patio was comfortable for cold beverages and good chats with my friend and love the string lights for ambience!Beds and furniture are comfortable, AC units worked great, kitchen is well-equipped, staff were courteous and unobtrusive, and I would stay again in a heartbeat. Michele was communicative and accommodating and provided everything on time and in full. Love it!

Old world Mexican charm

This villa experience was what we were looking for, old world charm with modern conveniences. A beautiful property to watch the evening sunsets and relax by the cozy private pool. Michelle (host) made sure our vacation was perfect from pre-vacation communications and an abundant amount of information during our stay. Elba was a tremendous part of our stay, from our grocery shopping requests to her wonderful culinary skills on cooking a perfect birthday dinner. Villa Mariposa is an experience we will never forget, we’ve excitedly told our family and friends about this place, and will definitely be back. The location of the property was not a problem with Uber back and forth into town, very convenient. Gracias Michelle.

Elegant villa with stunning ocean views

We stayed at this villa for a week, and it made our trip to PV really enjoyable! It is beautifully decorated, has stunning ocean views and is an easy walk to the Garza Blanca beach. With the combination of ceiling fans and A/C units, we were always comfortable, even on hot days. If you don't like hiking up the hill to get to the villa, both taxis and uber will drive to/from the front door. Pro tip: head left out the front door to get to a set of stairs going down. They offer to have groceries delivered before you arrive (for a fee). This turned out to be a lifesaver as there are no grocery stores nearby and limited restaurant options (in the Garza Blanca resort). Michele, the owner, was super nice and very available for any questions. Read the villa "user manual" - it has a lot of useful info.

Clean,comfortable,relaxing

We were looking for a comfortable, quiet place to get away,and we certainly found it with Villa Mariposa . As a chef, the first thing I think about are the tools I have available to cook a weeks worth of meals with. Michele hasn’t pretty much thought of everything. The fully stocked kitchen made it a breeze for Cuisine and cocktails. The bedrooms were super comfy. We enjoyed every room of the casa at different times of day. This is not a party house, rather a well thought out villa set up to read, listen to the birds or music, relax, float in the pool, watch the whales (if you catch the season) from One of the many balcony’s with a view, nap or cook whatever you have ingredients for. To top it all off, you get a magnificent sunset every night from every room. Take advantage of Michele’s connection with a private shopper and her very detailed list of transportation, grocery shopping and amenities. She was in close communication for any questions day to day. Enjoy the villa and all the artistic thought that has been put into this quiet little place on the hill.

Beautiful Property!

There is a lot to love about this home! First, the location is ideal. It’s so much more peaceful than staying in noisy Puerto Vallarta but still close enough so that we could visit town as we wanted. We had a car, but took an Uber in to town when we went since it was only $9 and then we didn’t have the hassle of parking. It’s about 30 minutes away from the Botanical Garden, and just a few minutes walk to the beach. The home itself was clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated (photos don’t do it justice!) The views from the upstairs bedrooms were spectacular! The downstairs patio and views are mostly of tropical plants and trees, but there is a little bit of an ocean view from the living room also. Beds and even pillows were very comfortable, and there are a plenty of closet space. We utilized the grocery shopping service which was great and allowed us to avoid a trip to the store on the way in (more time for fun!) Michelle was super attentive and helpful with everything and the check in process was easy. My only concern is that it seems they are building up this area with more resorts, and the reason we stay in Mismaloya is we want more of a residential community. I hope it is a beautiful and tranquil on our next visit!

Exceptional Villa

My husband and I have stayed at many short term rental properties (usually via another platform) and can confidently say that Michele is the best host we’ve ever encountered. To call her a Super Host would be a gross understatement, just a wonderful human being. Las Mariposas is an exceptional home, spacious, full of character, very clean and comfortable, in a safe and secure neighborhood, and extremely well equipped. The house and pool cleaners are delightful. We stayed for 6 weeks and cooked a lot and were amazed at all that is available, even thoughtful items like a salad spinner, powerful blender, freezer packs and a cooler for trips to the markets in addition to a full set of pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. The pool is delightful and there are three outdoor spaces to enjoy. We especially enjoyed the balcony off the bedrooms. The views are breathtaking with spectacular sunsets and skies teeming with stars! On several occasions we watched and photographed whales cavorting in the bay (we have binocs and a camera with long lens). The bed is very comfortable, the Smart TVs are useful and WiFi was reliable. Great showers. Lots of quality towels and linens. We normally rent a car but it’s really easy to get reliable taxis or Uber and we hired a driver for out of town trips. PV is a beautiful city with lots to do and excellent restaurants, markets and food stands. In January/February we had perfect weather every day. The worst part of staying there is having to leave.

Wonderful stay at Villa Mariposas

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Villa Mariposas. Michele, the property owner was quick to respond to my questions and very helpful in organizing groceries for our arrival and a couples massage at the villa (witch we ended up doing twice and I would highly recommend it!) Michele also provided us with a welcome packet and lots of great information ranging from transportation options to and from the airport, beaches in the area, and everything you would need to know about the villa. Elba, the caretaker of the property had everything looking fantastic for our arrival and welcomed us with fresh pico and a pitcher of margaritas, and all of the groceries we needed for our stay, what a great welcome! Michele worked with Elba to prepare a delicious lunch on our first full day after our massages. What a treat! As for Villa Mariposas, everything was great. Everything looked as they do in the photos, but I would say it is SO much better in-person. It is in a relaxed part of the coast, everyone was friendly and we enjoyed every minute of our time at the villa. I'm so happy to say that I cannot even comment on the responsiveness for fixing anything or for any problems because everything was working great, is in fantastic condition and we did not need make a single call to Michele or Elba while we were there....everything was fantastic from start to finish. Perfect Getaway

Great place!!! Awesome experience from booking to check out. Hostess emailed or texted us every so often to see if we needed anything from groceries to massages. Staff was very friendly and easy to visit with. Pool is just the right size for cooling off and is totally private. We will be back!!!

Garza Blanca Villa - PV

Our stay at the villa was very enjoyable - Property owner Michele and the Property Manager Elba were a pleasure to work with. The villa was very clean, spacious and completely what was represented - the location is just a short 3 mile Uber / or Taxi ride to town but out of the hustle and noise of the downtown area. The full kitchen was stocked with all you need and even a grill outside to cook on as well. Bedrooms and Bathrooms were large and very nicely done with very comfortable beds, The Master Bath has a washer and dryer for your use - very nice option when you stay for 10 days like we did. We had a GREAT stay and enjoyed the PRIVATE pool very much. We would highly recommend a stay at this villa and we will definitely be going back - Thanks Michele

Amazing Place

This place is absolutely amazing. The place was clean and perfect. We were able to have our groceries delivered and greet with fresh made guacamole and margaritas. Michele was great and easy to get a hold of. Would book again!

Beautiful and relaxing Villa Away From the Hustle and Bustle of Town

My Mother and I visited PV for a week to get some R&R as we entered the new year. We were not disappointed with our decision to stay in Villa Mariposas. The property met and exceeded our expectations offering a private pool/patio, an abundance of indoor common space, a fully stocked kitchen and two large separate bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. It’s worth noting that the beds in both rooms were very comfortable. In addition, the accommodation offers a concierge service to coordinate grocery delivery, housekeeping, and chef (if desired). We had the chef prepare a dinner one evening and it was delicious! With regard to location, the villa sits due South of downtown PV, about a 30-45 minute drive from the airport (depending on traffic). We were happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to explore the town with a quick 5-10 minute cab/Uber ride. There are 2 public beaches nearby which are close enough to walk to and an abundance of beach gear available in the villa (beach chairs, umbrella, cooler). We didn’t find the beach necessary though, as the pool/patio offers full sunlight in the late morning and all afternoon. Michele, the owner, was in constant communication, without being overbearing. It was clear that she was committed to us enjoying our stay and even left margaritas, chips and salsa as a welcoming gift. We look forward to returning to Villa Mariposas in the future!

Villa with your ocean view

Michele, We can't thank you enough for your hospitality, communication, assistance, and knowledge of PV which all made our vacation relaxing and a wonderful experience. The Villa was everything and then some as presented and advertised. The location was ideal for our stay being out of the city, but still close enough for easy access to everything PV has to offer. Thank you also for the recommendation of Uber which is so inexpensive in comparison to other options; Uber is quick, and so easy to travel around PV. Our Month in Paradise

My husband and I have enjoyed coming to Puerto Vallarte for nearly 30 years and have stayed in local hotels, time-share, and private villas, and since retirement we make it an annual event to spend a whole month in our favorite paradise. We like the south shore best, and a few years ago discovered Villas Altas in Garcia Blanca, Located halfway between old town and Mismaloya, This bougainvillea-laced enclave of private villas hugging the hillside provides wonderful views of the Banderas Bay, the jungle, spectacular sunsets, and access to many wonderful PV sites and adventures. We preciously stayed in lower units, closer to the highway 200, which provides access to multiple local transportations – and noise. This year we found Villa Mariposa located higher up the hill – ariba, ariba, to bring Uber to our doorstep! This villa has recently been modernized and beautifully decorated and provides a very livable space for an extended stay and is very private and quiet. The exception might be the morning chorus of roosters and chattering birds if you don’t appreciate nature. We even had a visiting raccoon one night that absconded with our avocados – learned to keep the doors closed! There is a soaking pool, open veranda, and multiple balconies. The owner Michelle, and the house staff are remarkably responsive to to ensure you are happy with the amenities and services. The chef prepared a welcome of margaritas and salsa and wonderful Mexican cuisine. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need for eating in and entertaining, and groceries could be ordered in. The gas grill was great to cook on. The unit is on two levels, with steps and un-even room levels that might concern patrons with mobility issues. We missed our home channels for the news and TV watching; there are smart TVs located in the bedrooms providing Internet entertainment options and Wi-Fi. Everyone in the community was cordial and we always felt very safe and welcome.

We started out escaping the frigid Michigan winters visiting the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico and the little town of Playa del Carmen, but as that grew bigger and more touristy, we wanted something more. So we came to Puerto Vallarta for vacation in 2015 and fell in love with the city's charm, its colonial feeling, cobblestone streets, world class restaurants and nightlife and mostly, the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We started to wonder if it would be possible to buy a house in Puerto Vallarta.

We searched for a house in Puerto Vallarta for a few years. The minute we saw Villa Mariposas, we knew that it was where we wanted to be. We rented a house in Villas Altas Garza Blanca to get a feeling for the neighborhood and fell in love... with the architecture, flowering trees everywhere, and especially the close proximity to the ocean and its breathtaking views, we knew this was the place for us. We love that it is close to town, but a little removed from the hustle and bustle, but still easy to get to the center of things in 10 minutes. Villa Mariposa is our little slice of paradise.

We love being on Puerto Vallarta's South Shore. Driving along the shore toward Garza Blanca from the busy and crowded Romantic Zone, we are immediately relaxed and remember the reasons we chose to live on the South Shore. Close to the Romantic Zone with its restaurants, bars and the Malecon, but far enough away to be a serene oasis, one comes to appreciate the sweeping views of the bay and the beauty of the beaches and hills on the South Shore.

Garza Blanca is about halfway to Mismaloya, the town made famous during the filming of Night of the Iguana with Richard Burton, Ava Gardner and Tennessee Williams in 1963. Elizabeth Taylor, madly in love with Burton, followed him to Puerto Vallarta, and their love affair brought international attention to Puerto Vallarta, a small fishing village at the time. Parts of the movie Predator were also filmed in Mismaloya. Taylor and Burton not only fell in love with each other, they fell in love with Puerto Vallarta and bought a home perched on a hill in the Gringo Gulch neighborhood of the city. Villas Altas Garza Blanca was part of the old Garza Blanca Hotel, frequented by A-List Hollywood stars. We love the history of the area and the new Garza Blanca Resort is beautiful and is also frequented by Hollywood types.

Tennessee Williams, the author of The Night of the Iguana, visited the set frequently and always in the company of Gigi, his beloved poodle, who, according to John Huston, often suffered from sunstroke.

Nestled in the lush landscape of Villas Altas Garza Blanca, this cobblestone enclave evokes the History of Vallarta's Golden age. Once part of The Old Garza Blanca Hotel, the Villas hold the same glamour and mystique as the bungalows at the Beverly Hills Hotel and had the same Clientele."

We are lucky to have amazing neighbors and feel happy to be a part of the community in Villas Altas Garza Blanca and hope to be able to live here full-time at some point in our future. But for now, we would love to share our beautiful villa with you and hope you love it as much as we do.
