Unser geräumiges und hübsch eingerichtetes Haus befindet sich im gehobenen Kamilo in der Mauna Lani-Siedlung und wurde erst kürzlich vermietet. Das Haus ist komplett mit Bettwäsche, Strandtüchern und Küchenutensilien ausgestattet. Ein Lebensmittelgeschäft mit umfassendem Service und eine Reihe von Restaurants sowie das 5-Sterne-Hotel und der Strand Fairmont Orchid sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Haus fühlt sich sehr privat an, ist sehr ruhig und ist von üppigem Grün und einer schönen Aussicht umgeben.

*** WICHTIG: Unsere Lage unseres Hauses in Kamilo ist SEHR wünschenswert - in der Nähe des Pools und des Erholungszentrums. Kamilo ist sehr groß, daher ist dies ein großes Plus, das Sie bei Ihrer Ankunft wirklich zu schätzen wissen, besonders wenn Sie mit Kindern reisen. **

Zwei große Hauptschlafzimmer verfügen jeweils über ein eigenes, extra großes Badezimmer mit Badewanne und Dusche. Das dritte und vierte Schlafzimmer teilen sich ein weiteres großes Badezimmer mit zwei Waschtischen. Neben der Küche befindet sich ein weiteres separates Badezimmer. Alle Schlafzimmer haben Glasschiebetüren für einfachen Zugang im Freien und Aussicht. Wi-Fi, Kabel-TV, DVD-Player und zwei Fernseher versorgen das Haus ebenfalls.

In Kamilo selbst, einer Entwicklung mit geringer Dichte, die Luxusimmobilien im Mauna Lani Resort umfasst, finden Sie ein wunderschönes Erholungszentrum mit zwei Pools - einem weitläufigen Familienpool, einem atemberaubenden Sportbecken und einem voll ausgestatteten Fitnessstudio , eine Außenküche und eine große Rasenfläche, ideal zum Spielen mit Kindern.

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Hausverwalter vor Ort, der auch bei Fragen oder Problemen sehr praktisch ist.

- Keine Telefonleitung vorhanden. Der Mieter muss ein Mobiltelefon haben.

Wonderful Intergenerational Christmas Stay

Our family of 8 with age range from 12 to 88 years were quite happy with Carol's well designed home. The lovely outdoor patio, well equipped kitchen, close proximity to 2 swimming pools with hot tubs and the responsiveness of owner & property manager made our stay most enjoyable.

Absolutely Wonderful!

This property was so much better than even the pictures show! It was so spacious for our children and grandchildren and was sparkling clean. I especially enjoyed the upstairs balcony with Mountain View’s and the fragrant plumeria trees. Carol and her property manager were wonderful to work with. Thank you!

Awesome Getaway

We were so pleased with our stay here. Our property was well equipped with everything we could need, including beach toys (boogie boards, sand toys, etc.). It was really quiet at night so we slept well. The location was perfect for our needs. It was a great base location for our different explorations. Close to Hapuna Beach. The best part was access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club. The kids could play in the water without us worrying about the waves. There is a restaurant there with fabulous drinks.

Yeah. Stop looking. Stay here.

Everything was exactly the way it was described, or better. The beds were very comfortable, the decor of the house was great, and the location was close enough to stores so that we didn't have to worry about finding food, while being away from the main parts of the city. As for the weather...well, it was Hawaii, so it was perfect. We were there during the January 2023 eruption of Kilauea -- Mother Nature really helped us out there as well. All in all, it was the perfect vacation for me and my family visiting from Europe. Thanks for everything, Carol!

Great House

Great house in great location. Had everything needed for two families, 8 of us total. Just a couple of minute walk to pool and fitness facility. Grocery store is a few minutes drive down the road and multiple beaches are within 5 minutes or less by car. We most enjoyed the beach club and black sands beach just to the south. Some in the group played golf, courses are in immaculate condition. Kitchen was well equipped. We did Thanksgiving dinner and many other meals and all worked great. Great outdoor space, great indoor space, I would recommend this house.

Beautiful house close to all the best beaches and things to do on the Island!

This house was perfect for our family of 8 with lots of room for all of us to relax and enjoy our vacation. The host and property manager were very accommodating and very quick to answer any questions we had. The house had everything we needed including a bbq, boogie boards, beach chairs/ umbrella. Access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club was a huge plus. We really liked the restaurant there and the snorkeling was amazing. The house was very close (10 min drive) to the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours site. It was also very close (10 min walk) to the Hawaii Loa Luau at the Fairmont Orchid Resort. Both are highly recommended! This was truly a magical vacation to the Big Island. Thank you!

GREAT LAYOUT, GREAT LOCATION, AWFUL APPLIANCES

Lets start with the positives, this property has a great layout for the 8 people we had stay. 1 master bedroom with king bed with ensuite downstairs for older or people with mobility issues, another 2 bedrooms down stairs with joining bathroom was perfect for mom, dad & 2 young kids, 1 upstairs bedroom with king bed & ensuite was perfect for 3rd couple with no kids. The property is in a gated community with awesome community pool, hot tubs & gym. Convenient location to grocery store & shops. The downside to the property is the iron was missing & it took 6 days of our 7 day vacation for it to arrive, even though it was clearly communicated to the owner on day 1. Also, the ice maker was completely frozen & inoperable until we thawed it out & got it running, but it was still awful slow. The washing machine didn’t work until the maintenance personnel stopped by on the 6th day to fix it, again the property owner was notified on day 1 of this condition. The grill was filthy & unusable until it was cleaned by management personnel on day 6. I haven’t stayed in a lot of VRBO properties, but I did feel this property was not well maintained & many of the home appliances were either inoperable or very confusing to use to include the stove top. For the amount of money paid, this should have been a better experience, but if u can put up with the issues with the amenities of the property, its not bad.

Thank you for your review. We have now ensured there is an iron in the property and are replacing the Maytag washer based on your feedback. The machine is brand new, so this level of difficulty was unexpected. The grill, we have deep cleaned again and will purchase a new cover for as it really takes a beating in the sun and wind.

Annual Family Vacation

I've thought long and hard about this review. Let me start by saying that Carol, the owner, is very responsive to issues, but they don't necessarily get resolved quickly. Overall, our stay was good, not great. We reported lack of hot water in upstairs bathroom on our first morning. Property manager came by quickly but it took until Thursday to have hot water upstairs. Oven panel has to be reset constantly for use. Fortunately I have the same oven, so it was easy for me but super frustrating. Stove top also frustrating but with instruction book in hand manageable. TV in bedroom wouldn't work. Property manager fixed it on Thursday but neglected to tell us that the TV had to be turned on manually at the back. Also had difficulty water flow to new washer. Plumber came by with manager on Thursday and resolved that issue for us. Beds are really comfy but the linens are too small for the king sized beds. Constantly having to attempt to tuck them in overnight. Don't want to sleep on crumpled fitted sheets and a bare mattress. Annoying. On the good side, the house is very well equipped. Plenty of spices and supplies in the fridge and pantry. Pool and gym are less than 10 houses away and are great. Landscaping is gorgeous and the neighborhood is quiet but friendly. Beach Club is the bomb. You'll have to lurk for chairs and shade but turn over is pretty quick. Restaurant and bar are great. Beach and water are amazing. Lovely walk to Fish Ponds and Lava Tubes.

The homeowner is very accommodating and the location is perfect for exploring the nearby beaches and exploring more of the Big Island. It was so nice to have access to the pools on property and the Beach Club. The house is great for families.

Great base to enjoy the coast and explore all of the big island

This place was top-notch. 4 beautiful bedrooms which worked great for our family - 2 couples, grandpa and two adult children. Kitchen was modern with great touches and easy to cook (we cooked several large meals in it). Two Master bedrooms were huge with large bathrooms, walk-in closets, etc. Location: Primo - 2 min walk to two great pools + nice gym with machines/dumb bells/etc. (which our 19yr old son especially appreciated). What was also nice is that it's a 20 min walk / 2 min drive to a beautiful beach to watch the sunsets or walk the beach. It's also great for exploring the coast, Waimea and jumping over to Hilo and the East side. Carol as a host was super-responsive to questions and having bikes, snorkels and other beachy things to use made it easy to take advantage of the great location. Would highly recommend to any large party looking for a great base to explore and a great place to hang out. Marc

This house is very spacious and comfortable. Lot’s of space for entertaining big groups. The pool, jacuzzi, and gym association are 1st class, and the location is convenient for anywhere on the Island you would want to go. The owner and property manager were very quick to respond to any questions and needs. Highly recommend.

Such a beautiful home!

Our experience staying in Carol’s home was so nice! She was kind and thoughtful from the beginning. The property manager was amazing. He came over a few times to help with a few things we needed. The home was beautiful and sparkling clean when we arrived. It is very spacious and plenty of space for a big group. The lanai was so nice to sit on in the mornings and listen to the birds and enjoy the warm weather. We really enjoyed our time in the home. There are so many thoughtful touches like a cooler, beach gear, sunscreen, pantry items, washer and dryer. It made our stay so comfortable. We will definitely stay here again should we be blessed to visit the beautiful Big Island again!

We had a great stay at this property. Swimming pool is very close. Beach club is amazing with good snorkelling and restaurant near by.

Great location

Lovely area and perfect layout for multi- generational gathering. Convenient to several beaches, small grocery store, and walking trails. Association pool area was peaceful, well kept, and a quick walk from house for beach breaks! A few extras would be nice: small cooler, a bucket with some sand toys for little ones, plastic glasses for safety since all flooring is tile, a highchair. Just mention these since it’s advertised as loving kids. And the kids did love it! So did the adults. Thanks for another great vacation on Hawaii.

Good option for groups!

We enjoyed staying at this home! Carol was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. We had a little bit of a hard time finding the house for the first time, but once we got the lay of the land, it was easy to navigate. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 plus grandparents. The location was nice and quiet at night (birds chirping in the morning!) and was a great launching off point to our adventures. We ate in a lot of nights so the kitchen was perfect for this. Thank you for a great place to stay!

A slice of paradise!

Everything about our stay here was perfect! Communication was rapid, clear, and kind. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we could hope for to make our stay low stress, despite the hazards of traveling with kids. The proximity to pool and beach was ideal. We loved it and hope to come back soon!

Great visit to Big Island

Family vacation with 7 adults staying at this condo was great fun for everyone. It is conveniently located close to beaches and easy to travel to other beaches or sites. Well appointed and very comfortable.

We are a family of four from Silicon Valley who have been in love with the Big Island since our first visit 15 years ago. Carol and Van both grew up in Monterey, Calif. and attended the University of California.

Kamilo was designed to be a low density development with top-notch construction, such as high/end appliances, vaulted thatched ceilings and three en-suite bathrooms. The pool and recreation center is considered one of the most beautiful on the island, and we are walking or biking distance to the beach at the Fairmont and the shopping center.

-The home is beautiful and comfortable, and each bedroom is set up as its own separate wing, which renders a nice sense of privacy.
-It is close enough to walk or bike to the nearby grocery store and shopping center and to the 5-star Fairmont Orchid hotel, which has a fantastic happy hour with live music. It is really relaxing not having to get into a car for simple excursions.
-Mauna Lani Resort is home to wild goat herds and many exotic birds that you won't find elsewhere.
-The recreation center and its pools are considered among the most beautiful of any on the island. This is a two-minute or less walk from the house.
-Guests enjoy access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club, a lovely and sheltered private beach with a restaurant and bar, a lifeguard, lounge chairs (some with umbrellas) and equipment rentals. This is especially a nice place to go with children and also to snorkel.
-Hapuna Beach, named among the top 10 beaches in the world, is about a 12-minute drive.
-We love kids! Boogie boards, floaties etc on-site
