Auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Familienurlaub? Dann ist dieses wunderschƶne Haus am Hartwell-See genau das Richtige fĆ¼r Sie! Gewƶlbedecken mit vielen Fenstern bieten vom Haus oder den beiden Ć¼berdachten Decks einen herrlichen Seeblick. Der offene KĆ¼chenplan hat einen Tisch fĆ¼r acht Personen und einen Tisch auf dem Deck direkt vor der TĆ¼r fĆ¼r vier weitere Personen. Die Kiefernbƶden und die Decke im Wohnbereich sowie der gestapelte Steinkamin verleihen dem Haus ein BerggefĆ¼hl, aber es ist nur ein kurzer, einfacher Spaziergang zum Dock.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer auf der Hauptebene des Hauses bietet Seeblick, ein Kingsize-Bett, Sat-TV und ein eigenes Bad. Ein Bonuszimmer (ausgestattet mit einem Einzelbett mit Ausziehbett) und ein WC befinden sich ebenfalls auf der Hauptebene. Der groƟe offene Wohnbereich bietet Seeblick, ein Queensize-Schlafsofa und einen 46-Zoll-Fernseher mit Satellitenempfang sowie einen DVD- / Videorecorder. Und WiFi.

Das Obergeschoss verfĆ¼gt Ć¼ber zwei Schlafzimmer, ein Vollbad und einen groƟen Dachboden mit viel Platz fĆ¼r eine Luftmatratze. Ein Schlafzimmer hat Etagenbetten mit einem Doppelbett unten und einem Einzelbett oben und das andere Schlafzimmer hat ein franzƶsisches Bett. Der unvollendete Keller hat eine Tischtennisplatte fĆ¼r die seltenen Regentage.

Das Doppeldecker-Dock befindet sich am Anfang einer ruhigen Bucht, in der Kinder sicher im Wasser spielen kƶnnen. Das Dock verfĆ¼gt auch Ć¼ber eine einzelne Bootsrutsche, ein Schwimmdeck und einen Ć¼berdachten Bereich auf dem Oberdeck. Wir stellen auch 2 Kajaks zur VerfĆ¼gung. Das Boot des EigentĆ¼mers befindet sich auf einem Lift in der Slipanlage, aber auf beiden Seiten des Docks ist ausreichend Platz fĆ¼r zwei weitere Boote.

Es ist nur eine kurze Fahrt zum Harbor Light Marina (wo Sie Boote und Jet-Skis mieten kƶnnen) oder zum Tugaloo State Park mit Strand, Picknickplatz, Minigolf und anderen Annehmlichkeiten. Toccoa Falls und Einkaufsmƶglichkeiten in Toccoa sind nur 15 Autominuten vom Haus entfernt. In weniger als einer Autostunde erreichen Sie Helen Georgia mit zahlreichen einzigartigen Restaurants, GeschƤften und anderen AktivitƤten wie einem Wasserpark und Flussrƶhren.

Late summer getaway

Needed a weekend away after a long summer mostly in our own home. Found the home to be well equipped for our family with toddlers. Bonus room across from master great for babies, well equipped kitchen for cooking just about anything, excellent dock for sitting or pulling up boats or kayaks. Enjoyed and would stay again!

Excellent House for Our Family

The House was just the right size and layout for the 9 of us. 6 adults and 3 kids ages 10 and 11. The kitchen is well stocked and the house was very clean. The basement is beautiful and perfect for hanging out and playing games. Our property manager was very responsive. The dock and location on Lake was great. No fast boats zooming by. We would stay again.

Beautiful and Quiet!!

The house is so easy to get to but seems so secluded with it's great buffer of deep woods. The neighbors we could see on the water were lovely and enjoying themselves as much as we were. We loved our time on the porch and on the dock, the spacious living area was terrific for our brood of little boys, and the nighttime quiet was perfect for listening to the tree frogs and watching the moonrise. We will be back!!

We have family friends that live on Lake Hartwell and we have always visited over the 4th but Iā€™ve recently remarried and we needed another house for our growing family. This place was so awesome that we had a hard time deciding where to gather! Great rooms. Great layout. Game room was a big hit with teens!

Better than advertised!

House is so much better than the listing and pictures show- lots of areas for groups to gather. Great big square dining table for everyone to pull up to and the game/big tv room is fabulous. We always worry about the swim area off a dock- this one is deep and clean and we swam even at night. We usually don't repeat visits but we'll choose this one again. And the owner answered every email- impressive.

Fun House!

We stayed here with our parents and 4 children during a local family reunion. The kids loved the double decker dock, kayaks, and game room. Only issue was the excessive spider webs on the dock and dead bugs on the basement level. Nothing a good vacuum and broom canā€™t handle and it didnā€™t ruin anyoneā€™s time.

Great Family Weekend!

My family stayed and had a fantastic weekend. Although a little tricky to find, since it a shared driveway and we were unable to find a house number at the top of the driveway but we came at night, the location was quiet, a great lake location and close enough to stores for essentials. The house was VERY clean upon arrival and just as pictured. Our kids (and us parents!) had a ball jumping off the boat dock into the lake and swimming/floating for hours. We rented a deck boat from Harbor Light Marina and the house was easy to find by water, thanks to great directions from the owner. The location on the water afforded great proximity to wide spaces for tubing and skiing, as well as little coves if fishing is your thing. All of the kitchen essentials were there, as well. There wasn't really anything we needed extra. The only MINOR issues were the grill is a little tempermental but not a big deal and the outside table is peeling because I think it's meant to be an indoor table. If we return to Lake Hartwell, we will rent this house!

Family Group Weekend Trip

House was nice and clean. The basement remodel is looking great. We overall had a great time however. The terrain from the house to the boat dock is very rough. Itā€™s a natural path with lots of tree roots and other obstacles. Sadly one of our older guest tripped over a tree root on the way back up to the house fell and broke to metatarsal bones in her foot. I would suggest making the path safer for guest in the future. What was a fun weekend turned into what will now be an expensive aftercare.

Great weekend get away with the teens. Dock was great for those who wanted to hang out with everyone but didnā€™t want sun. The top is half shaded which was great. Great location on a quiet cove.

Great getaway

Dock experience was excellent. The house is very nice but could use a little tlc. Furnishing was a little dated. Hosts were extremely nice. They left a sā€™mores kit. The propane tank was empty so we had to refill out of personal expense. Though in the rules, I feel this should be rethought as I donā€™t believe asking for a working grill is too much.

Short getaway trip with kids

This was a much needed getaway before school starts, especially since we havenā€™t traveled at all this summer due to Covid. The house fit our needs. The bed linens were clean and cute - each room had its own theme. The upstairs bedroom with the bunk has super squeaky mattresses so our 12 & 13 year old girls had to get theIr wiggles out early to avoid waking each other up in the night. The other upstairs bedroom was perfect for our 15 year old daughter, and the 3 girls shared the full bathroom, which worked out great- they loved the rubber ducky decor! The small ā€œextraā€ bedroom downstairs with the twin bed was great for our 17 year old son, and the master bedroom was perfectly comfortable for us parents! We enjoyed the deck - did some fishing and lots of swimming/floating. Didnā€™t make the effort to carry the kayaks down, but we did rent a pontoon for a day which was great! We had lots of rain - but luckily no thunderstorms so it didnā€™t stop us from enjoying the lake. We were happy to have the ping pong table - we had many competitions throughout our stay. Just a few things that would have changed our overall impression to this home... 1 - we wished someone had come through a day or two before our arrival to clear out the massive cobwebs in the game room, on the decks, and on the dock. Not hard to knock them down, but would have been nice to not have that task at the start of our vacation. We knocked down the ones that we couldnā€™t ignore, and left the rest. Also, were greeted by several big spiders in the bathrooms, and a couple (thankfully dead!) big bugs on the carpeted stairs and living room floor. Again, not a huge deal - there are bound to be bugs in the woods- but just a quick walkthrough before our arrival and we wouldā€™ve possibly never seen any the rest of our stay. 2- the game room would be so awesome if you just upgraded it a little! Finish off the drywall, get rid of the nasty carpet remnants (they were wet and have brown stains on them! The kids cringed every time a ping pong ball hit the floor and they had to retrieve it!),a small sofa or a few chairs & a small table would make it nice for a group to hang out and watch rather than sitting on the stairs, some better lighting, and some fun lake decor could make a huge difference! 3- The kitchen is well stocked, but could use another frying pan or two. There is really only one that is usable. None of these things affected our good time, but they would be appreciated!

House met our needs but in need of some TLC

So, the property just feels "tired". For example, the dock furniture was ripped, mis-matched, and just worn out. The stairs leading to the dock were spongy and felt like they may break under the weight of stepping on them. Going from the house to the dock, there were several large pine trees that had been cut down and just left, presumably to rot, rather than being removed. The furniture in the house was fine, though dated. One of the stranger things was the porch aluminium chairs. It appeared that somebody had randomly taken an angle grinder to the arms of all of the chairs. It's not like the chairs were rusted, as they are aluminium. Strange. On the plus side, the kitchen was well equipped with all of the things we needed to make meals.

Good house & great experience

The house was perfect for what we were looking for. Plenty of room to sleep and a great dock on the lake. We enjoyed our stay

My wife and I got married in 1997 and have lived in Athens GA. for most of our lives. Our children are Peyton (20) and Tristan (15). I am a real estate invester and my wife works for the University doing training. We love to travel, snow ski, scuba dive and just hang out at the lake.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We chose to buy our house at the lake because we loved the area and it is only a 1 hour drive from our house in Athens. Lake Hartwell is a beautiful lake with a feel of being in the foothills. Fishing is great and it is such a large lake so there is plenty to explore.

Our house is convient to I-85 and easy to get to from Atlanta. There are parks nearby and plenty to explore. Our dock has a party deck and can accomidate a large family compfortably. It is in a wooded area that allows for plenty of privacy.
