Entzückendes, saisonales Cottage mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 1 Bad direkt an der Atlantikseite von Peaks Island in Spar Cove. Eines von nur 5 Häusern an der Meerseite der Seashore Avenue. Sehen und hören Sie, wie die Meereswellen direkt vor Ihrem Wohnzimmer- und Schlafzimmerfenster in die Felsen krachen. Absolut atemberaubend! Genießen Sie Ihren Morgenkaffee mit freiem Blick auf den Sonnenaufgang und einem Panoramablick auf und ab der felsigen Küste. Könnte sehr gut die beste Lage auf der Insel sein!

Das Haus ist ein kürzlich renoviertes entzückendes Häuschen mit 3 Schlafzimmern. Alle sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Das 1. hat ein Queen-Size-Bett mit einem luftigen Wohnzimmer nebenan. Die Sichtschutztür, die zum Meer führt, ermöglicht eine schöne Meeresbrise, die es zu jeder Jahreszeit kühl hält. Das 2. hat ein Doppelbett und das 3. hat ein Etagenbett. Eine Queen-Size-Ausziehcouch steht auch im Wohnzimmer zur Verfügung. Es gibt ein Vollbad mit Dusche / Badewanne.

Peaks Island ist eine 15-minütige Fähre von Portland entfernt, wo Sie eine wunderschöne Küstenstadt mit einer Vielzahl großartiger Restaurants und Aktivitäten entdecken können. Die Insel bietet außergewöhnliches Wandern, Joggen, Reiten, Tennis, Schwimmen und Entspannen mit einem Wildvogelreservat, einem Social Club für Aktivitäten, kleinen Läden, einem Lebensmittelgeschäft und Restaurants. Sie können alles leicht zu Fuß erreichen.

Perfect Location

Great property in a fantastic location on Peak's Island. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again if we're ever back on Peak's. Some reviews have mentioned privacy, the house is in between two other houses, but we didn't mind that at all, we traveled there in early October and it seemed like the perfect time, I can't imagine how packed the island is during the summer! We took the car ferry over and left our car on the island and rode as walk-on passengers the days we explored Portland, the main tourist areas are very much within walking distance of the ferry landing. Make sure you check out the beaches that are public while you're on Peak's, I discovered a bunch of sea glass while we were there!

Lovely bungalow, perfect location, dog friendly

We come to Peaks Island every few years but this was the first time we stayed in the Spar Cove area. We did not know what to expect, but this house exceeded our expectations. It has a really positive energy and the house has all that you need. It is dog friendly and kid friendly (we don't have children but I would guess any kid would love the "secret bunk bed room"). Huge front yard and a huge back yard that is ocean-front. Lots of seating in the back yard and there is a big picture window in the living room to meditate on the ocean view at all times of day. Sunrise, sunset, high noon, whenever—the view is amazing. Two of the bedrooms have ocean views, also. No stereo, but there is cable TV with plenty of all-music channels with every conceivable genre to listen to. Nice kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Plenty of safe parking. We didn't use the wood-burning stove, but it looked nice if you are into that kind of thing. There is a hiking trail off of nearby Ocean Spray Road that leads to a nature preserve and/ or a rocky beach. The mile-long walk along Seashore Avenue is a daily must. Lots to do on the island: Hiking, biking, fishing, island tours via golf cart, three restaurants (although we recommend you avoid the Cockeyed Gull), Civil War Museum, ice cream store (try the Maine Blueberry), supermarket, library, veterinarian. There are bike rental and golf cart rental places. The bar at the American Legion hall is open to all adults and they have a good jukebox (however, this is NOT a "party" island so if you are looking for that, Peaks is not for you). There are a lot of "make-your-own-fun" opportunities. Most importantly, the house and location are a really good place to relax and unwind. This is the perfect house for no-stress island living. We will come here again and we recommend this house very highly.

Great stay, beautiful view

We had a fantastic stay. Peak's Island is the best of both worlds in that it offers all the charm of any small Maine island but also has easy access to the city of Portland. The view was fantastic-waves crashing into the rocks-can't beat it. Gino was incredibly accommodating and was quick to answer any questions that we had. We hope to come back!

Fabulous location!

We had a fabulous week. The home was well situated with amazing views and access to the ocean. Enjoyed tide pooling and swimming very much. It offered basic amenities but had every thing we needed. Washer/ dryer was a big plus.

Best View Ever!

I don't even know where to begin. This place is perfect! I literally cried when we left. The cottage is precious! The island is awesome! People were extremely kind everywhere we went. My husband and I were coming to Maine to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We had planned on 3 nights at this lovely home and then going further north for 3 more nights ( not long enough at either place!) We were scheduled to arrive at 2pm and reach Peaks Isand by about 3:00 or 4:00. Well, American Airlines had different plans for us (that will be a completely different kind of review!!) We ended up missing our flight due to the airlines obvious understaffing! (We were at the airport three hours prior to takeoff!) Not only did they make us and several hundreds of others miss their morning flights, but they sent our bags to Charleston!! Our bags were not due to the airport in Portland until nearly midnight that night! Well, the ferry stops running to Peaks Island at 10:30! I emailed Gino and told him that we weren't going to get to the cottage until the following morning. Gino offered several solutions and even sent me links to water taxis that would take us to the island at that hour. We opted to get a hotel because we were completely drained and we're excited to see peaks for the first time in daylight and with fresh eyes! Anytime I ever reached out to Gino, he replied within minutes to an hour. But here's the biggie! Even though he had nothing to do with our late arrival, he and his wife offered us an extra night at this lovely little home! Oh...we were so tempted! But, we had other reservations and plans. But how nice was that??? The hospitality and generosity was amazing!! The house is quaint and comfortable! Views from everywhere! The view from backyard is absolutely something straight out of a movie or something you've read about! We loved every single minute being in that home and Peaks Island! My husband and I made a promise to each other to return next year and choose this same cottage! We may even bring our kids. Plenty of space for 6 or even up to 8! Place for everyone to sleep! Beds were comfy! I have zero complaints about this rental!! Thank you Gino! You will be hearing from us again. I'm already putting plans in motion for next year! PEOPLE....DO NOT HESITATE ON THIS RENTAL!! Just don't rent it when we want it next summer! 😜

Our hosts were great, the house and property were perfect, and the views were amazing. We had cold and stormy weather for a few days, but with those views and a hot wood stove it was just the relaxing getaway we needed. Gino was also one of the best hosts we've had. Thanks for the great memories.

Refreshing Oceanfront Getaway

Gino was excellent throughout the rental. He communicated all the details and answered all our questions. We ended up taking our vehicle to Peakes which was a reasonable $35.00 for off-season rates. The property is right on the ocean and it reminded me of my childhood stays in Old Orchard Beach. The house is well equipped and comfortable. We explored the nearby roads and the Battery Steele conservation area. Very cool WWII site with lots of woodland trails. If you are looking for a modestly priced island oceanfront home to stay in you will not be disappointed.

Fall on the Island

I have been coming to Peaks my entire life but had never stayed that far out on the back shore and not in October. The cottage was quaint a d suited all of our needs. The view is phenomenal and it was a very relaxing stay. It did get pretty cold, but we had plenty of firewood to keep us warm in the evenings. The property owner provided two heaters which took the chill out of the bedrooms overnight. Gino the owner was fantastic; very responsive before and during our visit. He could not have been more attentive.

Wonderful Island Stay

We really enjoyed our time at this cottage. It was quaint, clean and perfect for two couples to enjoy a steak dinner and a bottle of wine. The view of the ocean is incredible and using the wood stove for heat brought back so many memories of my childhood, Gino checked in with me to make sure we were checked in ok and was very responsive when I asked him questions. The island is so cute and the ferry is such an easy ride back to Portland for the day. We loved this cottage and Peaks Island!

Charming Sea Side Cottage

We have just returned from six day stay at Bella Mare and enjoyed fabulous accommodations at this sea side cottage. The cottage was clean and well equipped with essentials for our stay. The weather cooperated, every morning spent in the back yard watching the sun rises over the ocean. Gino was a great host.

Sweet Cottage

First time staying on Spar Cove, beautiful sunrises, (and even sunsets! Cottage was cute, clean and Gino was great and quick to response. Only drawback, if I had any were the homes are extremely close together so not a ton of privacy. Peaks never disappoints! Great week on the island.

We enjoyed our stay and visit with friends. The trucks and backhoe and people constantly walking by bedroom window was a pain but realize work was being done next door

Gem on the Ocean

We stayed at this property for a week starting June 8th. Fantastic little cabin with spectacular views. You cannot get any closer to the Ocean! The picture on the listing is exactly what you see everyday from the picture window,or sitting at the picnic table or in one of the lounges. Cottage has everything you need beds are comfortable, good cable and internet, gas grille , hammock. We highly recommend this place. Gino & his wife have a perfect place & are nice to work with. We will be back!

Peaks Island is a small island off only a 15 minute ferry ride off the coast of Portland Maine. The house is on the "backshore" which is opposite side of the ferry, restaurants and crowds, which makes it ideal to enjoy quiet time when you want, have a little more action just minutes away, and have the option of the unique coastal town on the Portland shore.

Our property is a brand new modern 3 bedroom, 3 full bathroom home directly on the ocean sitting on seashore avenue. Seashore Avenue is a scenic road that hugs the eastern coastline of the island maximizing the beautiful rocky coast with waves regularly crashing into the shoreline. Despite Seashore Avenue hugging the coastline for 1/2 mile, there are only 5 homes on the oceanside of Seashore Avenue. This is one of them!!! Being on the oceanside allows the home to maximize full panoramic views of the coastline with direct access to the shoreline from the house.
