We spent the majority of the vacation sitting on the front porch/deck which was great being so close to the water. House was spacious and comfortable with adequate utilities and games for entertainment. Beds were comfortable, not one teenager complained! We have stayed both in Galveston and further down in Crystal Beach before, but we definitely enjoyed staying here on the slower more family oriented side of the beach! We tried to go Ocean Grille (which we had enjoyed before), but it was closed. We still recommend going to Tia Juanita’s which occupies to old Ocean Grille building-it was great!

Thank you for the 5‑star review! Glad BeachQuest’s front porch and proximity to the water made for relaxing time. Happy the house was spacious and comfortable, beds were great (no teen complaints!), and the games and utilities kept everyone entertained. Glad you enjoyed the quieter, family‑oriented side of the beach—and thanks for the Tia Juanita’s recommendation. We’d love to host you again. — Bolivar Vacations

Great location, steps to the beach. Not many houses in the direct area so the beach is not too crowded. Large house with comfortable beds and furniture.

House was nice. Great beach front. There was just a tropical storm coming in so the ocean was really rough. Didn't realize that was coming. So that part was disappointing. Was a great getaway with husband, dad, son and granddaughter! Thank you!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review. I’m glad to hear your family had a relaxing getaway and enjoyed the beachfront location. I’m sorry the tropical storm made the ocean conditions rough and disrupted your plans—that's never fun when you’re hoping for perfect beach weather. We truly appreciate your 4‑star rating and would love the chance to host you again. If there’s anything we could adjust or improve to make your next stay a 5‑star experience, I’d value your feedback.

This was a girl trip for 4 - the house is literally right on the beach and in a very quiet area. We spent most of our time on the deck or looking for shells on the beach.Could have used a little more cookware - not a big selection of pots and pans. But other than that - it's a great place and beautiful property. We will be back!

Happy to hear you enjoyed the deck and shell hunting. Thanks for the note about cookware; we’ll review the kitchen inventory and consider adding more pots and pans. We appreciate you choosing Bolivar Vacations and look forward to welcoming you back.

Beware if you’re staying here with small children. There appears to be mold in the home. Almost our entire party was sick within the 3 days/2 nights we stayed there. The bedding hadn’t been washed, there was hair on them from the previous guests, I’m assuming. Some of the white towels were stained but that’s okay because we brought our own towels. There was hardly any water pressure in the showers and the house swayed more than what we’re accustomed to for a beach home. We made the best of it, but there definitely needs to be mold remediation and a deep cleaning done to this place. The location and communication were great!

Overall itwas a plesant stay however the home needs some updates, example the shower had tape holding the floor tub together which looked really bad, also the flooring through out the house was separating Also the walls inside the home needs to be painted.. Like I said the home was nice just looked like it needed some attention from whoever is managing the property.

Thank you for staying with us and for the feedback. I’m sorry the home showed signs of wear during your visit — the shower tape, separating flooring, and interior paint issues are not the standard we expect. We’ve passed your comments to our maintenance and housekeeping teams for immediate inspection and to schedule the necessary repairs and cosmetic updates. If you have any additional details you can share through your Vrbo messages, it would help us prioritize the work. We appreciate you letting us know and hope to provide a much-improved stay next time. — Bolivar Vacations
