Clean & Beautiful

Property was clean and beautiful, well kept. Very short walk to the beach literally across the street. Short walk to the stores and restaurants. Everything was just as stated on the property listing with the exception of it stated do not bring beach towels. We have them for you. There were no beach towels. We had to go buy beach towels. I would definitely return and stay again.

Wonderful location

Our two families had plenty of room during our week stay. We especially loved the rooftop patio for sunset viewing after a day on the beach. Well-stocked kitchen and good layout overall. About 7-minute walk to the beach just across 30A. Thanks for a great week!

We love this neighborhood and have stayed here several Times. The walk to the beach is easy for the kids and they love the neighborhood pool. We will be back

Nice Place

Great location, space, and layout. Accommodates multiple families easily. Would definitely stay here again due to location. The pool area is designed perfect for younger and older kids. You will have to carry your items to the beach down 3 flights of stairs. There is no ramp. Wheel items like coolers not allowed on beach.

Great 4th of July week

The house, view for the fireworks and pool were amazing. Having beach access right across the street could not have been more convenient either. Only thing to address is the very upstairs bed needs to be replaced. It is very lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep in. Other than that, we would absolutely rent this house again!

Family beach comfort

The house is really beautiful and the multiple patios were well used. The sofa sleeper in the living room was very comfortable for my older mom. The ice maker was a welcome plus. Unfortunately the grill is not a gas grill and that was disappointing because it was listed as gas. The code we were given to open the lock didn’t work so we had to call guest services and were delayed getting into the house.

Great Location, No Basic Kitchen Essentials, High School Party Spot

Positives: - Great location - Very clean - Great balconies - Nicer and more spacious than pictures portray. Negatives: - Absolutely NO basics provided. No salt and pepper, no dish soap, no paper towels, no toilet paper, no tin foil, charcoal grill… no charcoal, no left condiments. It’s as if they go through between renters and throw any and all leftovers away - High school party neighborhood. Tons of unsupervised high school kids stayed in this neighborhood over spring break. Parties everywhere. My bike was stolen from the front of the house while we were inside. Went looking for it in the morning and ran into 3-4 other families that experienced the same.

Great Location excellent 3rd floor Balcony

The house is in a great location. The 3rd floor has a good view. Easy beach access. I have the house a little lower rating as we felt the home was dirty and the furnishings needed updating. The couch is covered in stains. Swings on porch covered in stains. Rugs had many stains. Lots of crumbs and dust around the floor and in corners. Some of the dishes were dirty. Showers had mold. Showers would not drain, however we called about that and it was fixed within 48hrs but we still had to deal with it. Cleaners should have noticed drains all holding water. We did have fun but felt the home especially for the price could use some updating and a through cleaning.

Great house, great location!

This house was perfect for our family trip. We had 4 adults and 4 children (age 3-11). The house is in great condition. Be ready for lots of stairs but the 3rd floor porch and swing has a great view and is so pleasant. The bunk bed room on 1st floor worked great for our small kids. Main living area and kitchen are on 2nd floor. Kitchen is very well stocked. We have stayed in Seacrest before, and this house was the best location we have had...just a block away from the pool and an easy walk to beach. At the beach, be prepared for a crowd during summer months. I would suggest renting chairs in advance to avoid the stress of finding a place to sit in the small area that’s open to non-rental chairs. Our only issue was the main door electronic lock acted up (we think needed batteries) and we were locked out for a short time. The responsiveness of the rental company was extremely slow (instruction was to send a text). I got a response like 12hrs later. Thankfully the door lock eventually opened. The company needs to provide a phone number to speak with someone directly if issues arise. But overall, a great trip and I would recommend the house to friends/family.

Our stay - Dissapointed

First, let me say this is a really nice house with well appointed furniture and an excellent location with nice views, rooms are good size, beautiful porches and ocean view. Mainly, this is a review of the property management company and the cleaning company. We arrived excited on July 5th to a house with a stopped up toilet, dirty bath mats, unswept porches with 2 blood smears on the tile porch, open water bottles from the previous occupants, a broken tv, no broom, no shampoo/conditioner in the baths, dirty stained rugs, and a broken fan. I did report this to the management company and they did finally respond with a limited amount of compensation and a very slow response to address some of the issues, however, until the owners wake up and realize they have mediocre property Managers and do something about presenting a clean fresh place for someone to stay, I can't recommend this house! All I ask, is for a clean well presented home to rent and stay in and not to have to have problems that I hope will be expedited. Get it right the first time, because if you don't, your not guaranteed a second chance!

Perfect Location!

The best things about this property: location, third story balcony, and large pantry. This beach house is located right in between the convenience of Rosemary and the beauty of Alys Beach. Plus, the house is a short walk to the neighborhood pool. You can't bike or drive a golf cart to the beach from the access allowed. I recommend a bacpack cooler and calling several months ahead to reserve beach chairs. The week we went, umbrellas and chairs were 5 rows deep. Apparently the chair company positions the chairs in order of reservation. I highly recommend renting bikes! Our entire party biked through Rosemary, Seacrest, and Alys Beach multiple times a day! The breeze on the third story balcony as well as the view around the community and to the gulf were fantastic! The pantry holds a ton of groceries and bulky boxes to aid in keeping the kitchen space organized. Bring extra dishtowels! We were given only one, but after calling the rental company to request more, inititally they said it was standard to provide only one dishtowel and one papertowel roll. But, later that afternoon when we returned from the beach, two extra dishtowels were on our kitchen cabinet! We had some trouble working the TV in the living room and there was no TV in the second floor bedroom, which was an inconvenience for our family. The house furnishings are a bit dated and the walls (cabinets and entire house) could use a really, really good cleaning or repainting. However, with all of these minor issues, our overall experience was great and because of the location, I would most definitely stay here again!

Great Place!

I see that someone else here didn't like the cleaning service too much. Well, 2 stars for that doesn't seem fair. I found some sand on the porch, but not any blood. The place was as clean upon our arrival as any other beach house I have rented in the area, so I would not let that scare you away. The house is great. It is in a very convenient location. It is right on 30A. Don't let that worry you, it's a good thing. I never heard the traffic, but I could walk out the back door and step right onto the sidewalk to go to the beach or restaurants. Or, I could walk out the front door and head to the Seacrest pool. The deck on the top floor lines up directly with the road across the street, giving you a clear view of the gulf. Someone spent a fortune having this house wired for whole home audio... though instructions were not included so bring your electrical engineering friend to get it all set up for you. There are HDTVs everywhere (except the kitchen level bedroom I think). I suggest bringing a streaming device to use with them though... like a Google Chrome or FireTV Stick. The BluRay players are older 1st or 2nd generation players (very expensive at the time) and did not work for many of our discs. Ever hear a 3 year old scream when Elsa freezes while singing "Let it Go"? Not the owner's fault though... I blame Sony and Samsung. The kitchen has a standalone ice machine, which is a great luxury to have at the beach. I might have decorated the place a bit more lively if it were mine, but that's just picking nits. It is just plain nice. Overall, this is a great option if you are looking for a place to stay in Seacrest. I considered not posting this so I could improve my chances of getting this one again, but a solitary 2 star review (before I posted mine) based on a single cleaning service gaffe is just too unfair.

Spacious house close to the beach!

The house was excellent with plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk, and the pool was a big hit with the kids. The beds were super comfortable. The property manager was very responsive whenever we called.

Great for family & friends!

With the 3 floors it's perfect in that you have common area, but you also have your private area and balcony.

Loved the house & would definitely stay again!

Our house was amazing & was like the website described. Southern Vacation Rentals handled all issues in a timely and efficient manor. Our only complaint is that the “private beach” was so crowded that we ended up going to the public beach which barely had anyone out there. Felt like the price for private beach was a little much since it wasn’t as private as we thought.

Great house for our family of 6!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The porch swings were our favorite. The beds were comfortable. The only negative was the living room furniture on the second level is not large enough for our family to all be able to sit together. Perhaps the sectional on the first could be swapped with the second floor couch to provide more seating. Location is awesome to both the beach and pool! We would most definitely stay here again!!!

Great Location

Nice house. Exterior photo is out of date (house beside it now) and map location is inaccurate (actually on 30A.) A view of the Gulf and easy/quick access to the beach. Couch not comfy. Operating the main TV sound requires a degree. Everything else is top notch. Would return!

Just OK

We thought the house and neighborhood were beautiful, but there were a few things that made us not want to come back. 1. The furniture was dingy and dirty ( made us not want to sit down), the layout of the house is so hard to be together in a common area ( lots of porches, yet they are off bedrooms), the check in process was kinda weird - yet easy, We stressed over there only being 2 parking spots according to the listing, yet there are three once we got there. We loved that the beach is across the street, yet the rules made it no fun and we ended up driving to inlet beach everyday ( no wagons on beach, no tents, a small area for you to set up your stuff and the beach is slammed there). The amount of bikes should have been quaint, but we felt like we were almost ran over every time we got on a sidewalk. I think the best part of this property is the Pool ....no complaints there! Overall - this listing might fit what some people want, but maybe next time we will book a house that isn't ran by community rules.

We apologize for the added stress over parking. Parking is limited to the driveway in this community and we have found that most driveways can accommodate two standard sized vehicles.
