Within 14 miles and all worth a visit are Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, the dramatic 240-foot waterfall, Lake Vyrnwy, Bala Lake, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, and the National Trust castles of Chirk and Powis. Alternatively, hop onto a steam train at Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway or visit the market town of Oswestry (12 miles) with its range of shops, eateries and events to enjoy.
