Situated near Bishop Auckland guests will find themselves surrounded by countryside walks, yet within easy reach of some very popular locations. Nearby Hamsterley Forest will offer guests a real outdoor experience, great for adventurous bikers. Visit the market town of Barnard Castle home to a French designed Chateau - Bowes Museum with its collection of art, or, Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle which are both steeped in history and sit at the centre of the city which is also well known for its many boutiques, cafés and bars. A beautifully renovated former stable block, sitting on the owners working farm grounds. The property is filled with character but with a contemporary twist.

On entering the cottage, hang your coat in the cupboard and make your way into the spacious lounge. With cosy sofas and armchairs this is the ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring, open the patio doors and enjoy the views of the open countryside. Head down the hallway where guests will find a door with access to the courtyard and then make your way through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, fitted out beautifully with integral appliances including an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Further down the hallway is a large bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. Then make your way to the two well-appointed bedrooms with quality bedding ensuring you a restful night’s sleep. There is a super-king-size and a king-size zip and link (which can be made into 2ft6 twin upon request)

Outside is a patio area with seating where guests can dine al-fresco or simply sit and enjoy the views with a book. There is private off-road parking available for 2 cars.
