The peaceful village of Milborne St Andrew is surrounded by verdant countryside and offers excellent links to the Jurassic Coast, including the spectacular beaches at Lulworth Cove (14 miles) and Durdle Door (13 miles). The property is on the fringe of the village with lovely traffic free walks direct from the front door to explore the local countryside and the Dorset National Landscape. The village offers a welcoming country pub and a village shop. It is a short drive from Dorchester (9 miles) and Blandford Forum (8.5 miles), with walking and cycling routes nearby.
The house is a charming 17th-century cottage, fully renovated in 2020, giving the ideal combination of old and new. Features include exposed original beams throughout and a comfortable snug with inglenook fireplace, original bread oven, wood burner-effect gas fire and a Smart TV. Just opposite is a second sitting room in which to relax which also has a Smart TV and space to enjoy board games beside the fire. Looking out onto the garden is a fabulous modern open-plan kitchen/living room. A central island makes the most of the space and there is room to dine and sofas to relax on, just opposite. An inner hallway leads to a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a separate WC. There are six bedrooms overall: on the first floor you’ll find a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a double with an en-suite shower room, and another double. A family bathroom can also be found on this floor, with a wonderful free-standing roll-top bath. On the second floor there is a double bedroom, a cosy bunk bedroom and a twin room. These rooms share a shower room.
Outside there is a large patio with an awning allowing shaded outdoor dining for up to 14, along with comfortable seating, a fire pit and a gas BBQ. A sloped border and flight of steps lead up from here to a large, elevated area of lawn. The garden is fully enclosed with space for dogs to run around. There is off-road parking to the side of the cottage for two cars and further roadside parking to the front. From June 2026 an EV charging point is provided with Type 1 and 2 connectors.
