A period property surrounded by open countryside to explore by foot, situated away from the hustle and bustle of the medieval walled city but close enough for easy access to enjoy a wonderful day trip with its ancient cobbled street, The Shambles popular with Harry Potter fans the world over, York's famous medieval street, filled with shops, cafes, pubs and places to eat. Enjoy the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre for a step back in time or stroll along the walls of the city. Stately homes in the area include Castle Howard and the World Heritage site at Fountains Abbey. For lovers of the countryside nearby are the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks both with walks and cycle routes, suitable for all ages. The Yorkshire Coastline is just a short drive away with resorts such as Whitby, Scarborough and Filey.

The property a hidden gem waiting to be discovered, behind its red brick exterior is a delightful home from home, which is absolutely crammed with character and comfort. It has been renovated beautifully, whilst retaining all of the charm of its heritage. Enter into a lovely hallway, ideal place for wet coats. Just off the hall leads through to the warm and welcoming lounge, with comfy sofa beds (need to provide own bedding) which makes the ideal place to gather with the fire burning at the end of the day, watch a film or your favourite program on the Smart TV with Netflix. Head through to the open-plan living/kitchen/diner an excellent social space to enjoy a meal together or sit at the table planning the day ahead. Chill out on the comfy plush sofas , the perfect atmosphere for relaxing with your family and friends along with a Smart TV with Netflix. Fulfilling your culinary needs in the well-presented kitchen, where you will be delighted by the quality appliances that await you to rustle up a home-cooked meal is an electric Range oven and hob fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and washer/dryer. Completing the ground floor is a cloakroom with WC. When it's time to retire for the night, choose from three comfortable and versatile bedrooms, two super king-size zip-and-link bedrooms (which can be made into twins on request at the point of booking) one with an-en-suite shower room with WC and a double bedroom with pretty views over garden and to the fields beyond, if you are lucky you might spot the family of Deer in the distance. There is a further bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

The lush green lawn wraps itself around the property and enclosed by hedging and fencing, ensuring safety for children and dogs. As the garden can see the sun at any given hour, you can follow the Sun around for the best part of the day and enjoy a BBQ. Off road parking for at least 3 cars. Wild swimming, pop up sauna and dog friendly cafe with log burner 1/2 mile away at Pool Bridge Farm. We plant a metre of native hedge for every booking.
