Explore nearby hills, valleys and miles of forest trails for walking and biking with the renowned Glentress Forest within easy reach. Visit Abbotsford, home of Sir Walter Scott, Melrose Abbey, Old Gala House and Thirlestane Castle. Galashiels is close at hand with its excellent shopping and leisure facilities including swimming pool, gyms and cinema. Or enjoy day trips to the elegant city of Edinburgh on the Scottish Borders Railway from Tweedbank or Galashiels stations.
