Nearby Barnstaple and South Molton are well worth a visit, both boasting traditional pannier markets, independent shops and local eateries. The conveniently close railway station opens up car‑free days out, with a scenic trip to the Tarka Trail, a much‑loved route for walkers and cyclists following the River Taw. For memorable days out further afield, the historic cathedral city of Exeter and the picturesque resorts of Torbay make excellent choices. This is a fantastic location for four‑legged companions too, with direct access from the property to a variety of dog‑walking routes, including woodland trails, riverside strolls along the River Taw and a pleasant walk to the local village pub.
