This beautifully converted farmhouse provides a perfect holiday location for families or friends looking for a peaceful getaway set on a working farm. The property has been lovingly restored to its former glory and the original features truly add to its character and charm, making it a wonderful country retreat, yet close to great beaches and secluded coves. Beyond the sprawling countryside that surrounds the property is the rugged Cornish coastline, which boasts vast sandy beaches, perfect for surfing, body boarding, swimming and long walks along the South West Coast Path. A six mile drive will bring you to Bude where you will find sandy beaches, the boating canal, leisure pool, golf course, a selection of shops, coffee shops and award winning restaurants and bistros. Or take a day out to the fishing village of Clovelly with its steep, traffic-free cobbled streets that will take you back in time, or the fishing villages of Padstow and Boscastle which are also well worth a visit. Other attractions in the area include The Eden Project, The Milky Way, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Hartland Abbey and National Trust properties and gardens.
Inside the stunning property the contemporary kitchen provides an electric range cooker, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and many useful extras which you may need throughout your stay. The separate utility room is ideal for muddy boots and coats and has a washer/dryer, tumble dryer and sink. There is also a separate downstairs WC. The lounge/diner is spacious and traditional with an inglenook fireplace housing a cosy wood burner, the perfect way to unwind on the leather sofas after a long walk while making use of the Sky TV, DVD, Nintendo Wii, iPod dock or the DVD library with over 100 films. A games room in the main farmhouse features a pool table, darts board, board games, arcade games machine, virtual pinball machine, 3D Smart TV, Nintendo Wii and a wood burner, perfect for large family occasions. The superb accommodation offers five bedrooms, to include two twins, one king-size with en-suite shower room and WC and one double with en-suite shower room and WC. There is an additional king-size bedroom with TV, en-suite shower room and WC accessed via separate stairs leading off the games room for added privacy. In the garden you will find a detached annexe to the rear of the farmhouse offering sleeping accommodation for two people. The annexe is laid out on one level with a king-size bedroom with TV and French doors leading on to the main enclosed garden for the farmhouse, shower room with double shower, lounge/kitchen with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and breakfast bar. The annexe also has a patio area to the rear with garden furniture, BBQ and seating, perfect for al fresco dining and extra privacy during your stay.
Heading outside of the main farmhouse, the enclosed grassed garden and patio area to the front of the property is a peaceful suntrap in which to enjoy an evening drink, while the large enclosed garden and orchard to the rear features an outside seating area, as well as a spacious outdoor dining area with large table, ample seating and a built in BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining. There is a beautiful decked area with a sunken hot tub set in a pretty secluded setting for guests' private use, perfect for relaxing summer evenings. Next to the hot tub is a conservatory/reading area with a private sauna overlooking the orchard with blossom trees and lambs can be seen at certain times of the year grazing in the orchard. There is an enclosed play area featuring a climbing frame and swings just off the main garden, perfect for younger guests.
