This charming family cabin from the 1950s is located right on the waterfront with over 50 meters of private beachfront. Here you will find a newly renovated, compact cabin where the wood-burning stove creates a cozy warmth in the living room, perfect for relaxing on the sofa with a book and a cup of coffee while enjoying the nature right outside the window.
There is limited power capacity in the cabin, and there is no shower. You will therefore have to bathe in the sea or wash outside with a handheld shower in a bucket of heated water. In practice, you can use two things at the same time, for example, the toilet and coffee maker, or the electric heater and one hotplate. This works well, but requires you to be conscious of your power consumption.
Inside, the cabin has a practical and spacious layout with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. The cozy wood-burning stove is centrally located in the living room, where you will also find a sofa and armchair. Everything is simple and functional, so you will quickly feel at home.
The plot of almost two acres offers plenty of space for play and activities. A stream runs through the property and ends in a pond on the rocky shore – a popular playground where children can explore aquatic life for hours. You can eat outside both on the pier and behind the cabin, choosing the best spot depending on the weather.
Fish from the rocky shore nearby and walk to the headland to watch the sunset. Mjøsvågen landhandleri is open every day and serves as the heart of the village. Visit Galleri Den Grøne Fabrikken or Flabbelina floating sauna. The trip to Kossdalen offers 2 km of flat terrain, followed by 18 steep turns with fantastic views.
