The Old School House, Friston

This wonderful family home is perfect for a holiday or weekend break, surrounded by mature gardens, and just four miles from Aldeburgh. Interiors are elegantly furnished the first floor giving access to two luxurious bedrooms with en-suites. The third bedroom sits on the ground floor where there's also a wet room off the hallway.

HALL/DINING ROOM
At the heart of the house with the stairs sweeping up to the first-floor landing, this space is fantastic for long lazy lunches at the long dining table with eight chairs and a couple more from the kitchen to make 10 for full occupancy. The chaise under the window also invites you to curl up with a good book in the sunshine.

LIVING ROOM
Double doors give a grand feeling to this beautiful room with French doors opening to the patio and garden beyond. There’s a TV in the corner with Sky channels, and a little fabric playhouse and toy kitchen for little guests to have some fun.

KITCHEN/BREAKFAST ROOM
Enjoy catering for the family in this beautiful big kitchen with its central island and a table under the window. Appliances include a two electric ovens and a separate grill, a five ring gas hob, an American style fridge/freezer ((both upright, please see photos re space), a dishwasher, and the essential toaster and kettle.

UTILITY ROOM
Conveniently housing a 2nd dishwasher, a washing machine, and dryer.

DOUBLE BEDROOM
The king size bed sits between bedside stools and there’s a an attractive shelf unit for your clothes, plus some shelves.
WET ROOM
Fitted with a hand-held shower attachment, wash basin, WC and natural light.

FRONT BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
The king size bed sits between bedside drawers and there’s an additional chest of drawers.
EN-SUITE
Light floods this room through the sky light and there’s a double shower cubicle with a hand-held shower head on a riser, a wash basin, WC, and towel rail (towels will be supplied for all guests).

OUTSIDE
The Old School is set back from the road and surrounded by incredible gardens full or birdlife, well-established flower beds, bushes and trees - fantastic for guests of all ages with space to relax and soak up the countryside, or for little guests to run around and play hide and seek. There’s a patio for outdoor dining and a large pond surrounded by a fence but guests with children obviously need to be vigilent. Parking is plentiful on the gravel drive.

Whilst there's a ground floor bedroom and a wet room which could be helpful for guests with a mobility issue, please be aware that the drive is gravel so might be difficult to navigate.
