The village of Youlgreave dates back several hundred years, and is mentioned in the 1086 Domesday book. It is now a thriving village offering three pubs, a working-man's club, a restaurant, three cafes and a local shop. It is within an hour's driving distance to the nearby cities of Sheffield, Chesterfield, Derby, Nottingham, Stoke and Buxton.
