Great family place

Right on the water. Best snorkeling we found on Maui was right in front of the facility- even better than the tours. Centrally located and right next to two great beaches. Loved it, and will come back again.

Location was great. Lots of restaurants and shopping near buy. Condo was well kept with a nice view. We had a great time. Only slight negative was proximity to main road, light sleepers will hear cars passing by all night

Beautiful location and condo

The condo was clean, comfortable with many updated features. There is a beautiful view of the water and beach and the location has several convenient restaurants. The only drawback is the proximity to the road and the loud traffic noises throughout the night and early morning.

Close to great beach and dining.

Everything was great except parking. We had 3 vehicles, but only 1 parking pass. Closest parking we could find for the other 2 cars was more than 1/4 mile away.

Great location, well equipped, good for family.

Loved the condo - had everything we needed for 6 adults, 2 children - plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses, plastics to cater for all ages with the option of I sort and outdoor dining and a great view. Location easy to walk to great beaches, some shops and restaurants. Shirt Uber to others. Bathrooms are small and showers are very hard but would still highly recommend.

Vacation at Royal Mauian

The condo was beautiful. Very clean and fully stocked with kitchen necessities. The view of the ocean is great from the lanai. The roof top is amazing to cook and watch the sunsets. We had 7 people and a baby and had plenty of room. It is very close the the beach and the pool was great! The only consideration is the traffic from the road.

Amazing location!

Comfortable, functional space. Easy beach access. Walking distance to shops. Great ocean views from the lanai. We did have a roach issue. Traps were delivered however they were ineffective. Despite this concern we would return and highly recommend this property.

Beach front views

Our first family vacation was a huge success! This felt like home away from home. The condo was spacious and fit 6 adults and a 1 year old comfortably. The bunk beds were perfect for adults, two 23 year old men and 30 year old said they were comfortable and spacious. Having the washer and dryer was very convenient so don’t overpack clothes (you won’t use them all). Shopping centers were across the street, that was another bonus. The best part was having the beach front right in front of us. I got up early everyday and just walked along the shore, it was so peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for a great experience.

Our 93 yo matriarch was with us in a wheelchair and we did not anticipate steps would be required to get to the apt. Otherwise, it was very clean and well kept. We had a plumbing issue that the manager at first declined to fix over the weekend; but with a little cajoling they got an emergency plumb repair and we were only inconvenienced for a few hours instead of waiting until Mon.

Hawaiian Getaway

Our condo had a roach problem we were promised someone would come out to spray and they did not, the property manager came with a bottle of bug spray for us to use. The oven stopped working and they came in and fixed it luckily, we tried making bacon in the morning when we discovered it was not working as we were planning to slow cook a meal in the oven while we were out. Our friends also had a condo in this location, so we had to use their oven. Thankfully we didn't return to an uncooked roast we were planning for that night. We did not have any basic spices in the kitchen not even salt and pepper. We only had 8 towels for 8 people for the week. We called the office and did receive more for the week. The description of the toiletries was at best minimal 2 little bars of soap for 2 bathrooms. The straps on the beach chairs were broken so you could not carry them on your back only by hand. The location was great and enjoyed the rooftop nightly for eating, and the condo was very nice and roomy, and checkout was super easy.

We initially came in and sprayed (and left the spray) to treat the condo while we were working on setting up a professional pest company to come to spray. Thank you for reporting the open not working and are happy our team was able to come by the same day and reset the oven to get it working properly. We have since replaced the beach chairs that broke. Roaches

Unfortunately, the condo was infested with cockroaches. The roaches ranged from full grown adults to smaller babies. They particularly seem to love to be in the toaster and came out the first time we used it. Notified both the front desk and the property manager, and came home one day to find a package of roach traps on the counter. Assuming that we were responsible for placing them out, we started putting them behind the appliances. We were surprised to find that there were multiple other Roach traps already there, leading us to believe they had known about this problem. Spoke with the property manager at the conclusion of the trip, and was told there would be no compensation for the inconvenience, headache, and disgust. One other almost comical issue with the property are the pool rules. Despite being billed as a family place, there are bizarre rules like no throwing balls in the pool and no playing “Marco Polo”. Also, no speakers or cell phone use in the pool. Not very conducive to families. We would not patronize this property again. Not a good place for families, but maybe for older adults? That is, if you can stomach the roaches.

We’re currently taking steps to ensure your concerns are addressed. We are working with outside professional pest control companies to address any items. Please know that the Royal Mauian AOAO handles the pest control for the property and has regular quarterly treatments performed by a contracted pest control company. Ali'i Resorts handles the rentals of some of the condominiums at this resort. As we experience increased pest activity, we request additional pest treatments and have done so in the past quarter. Additionally, we have provided bait stations per your request. Due to Hawaii's tropical climate, roaches are a constant battle. Much needed family vaca

We loved the view of the ocean and watching the beautiful sunsets each night, either from the condos lanai or from the rooftop. One disappointment is the exhaust from the air conditioners blows directly across the lanai making it even warmer on a hot day. We had some issues with ants in the beginning but management provided us ant bait and that took care of them. There were also some roaches that were seen each day. We realize this is a common issue. Overall, we thought the condo was great.

Just as expected, great location for walk to everything convenience

Great unit for a Covid getaway with the kids. I travelled with 4 teens from 16-18. They loved the freedom to be able to walk to everything. Tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. If you dont rent a car, no worries here. You are set to get everything you want with just a short walk. Turtles swam by all day long in the water out front. In fact, one ran into my daughter's leg in just inches of water, which I think scared her more than the turtle. The unit was as described. No frills, but decently equipped. The master bedroom bed was not great. The unit had basic kitchen stuff but did have to get creative cooking with the supplied cookware. The dishwasher also didn't work properly. It appeared to run through the cycles but never cleaned anything. I tried two different washing options, but couldn't get it to actually clean anything. However, all in all quite comfortable, great location and a fun time. You will love the view from the lanai. A great spot to watch the ocean and sunset
