Large 4 Bedroom House on idyllic Armona Island
Ideally situated in the middle of the island near the main shop and kids park. 10 mins to the Atlantic beach and 10 mins to the Ferry point. Very close to our favourite lesser known part of the island, the lake and tidal lagoon.
Original Armona house with traditional Portuguese features interspersed with cute new modifications. Super fast Lazer internet for multiple users. Large TV with Netflix/Prime (Just log in). Large garden area with edible plants and herbs ( 2 lemon trees ). Microwave, coffee machine, blender, juicer. 2 barbecues (1 for fish, 1 for meat).
Outside shower for washing sandy feet fresh off the beach.
2 person Hammock for chilling in the garden !
Large back veranda for morning coffee and quiet time. Large front terrace for dining, and cocktails in the evening. 3 Sun loungers/recliners, 3 large comfy chairs and table to seat up to 10 people on veranda.
Air conditioners and fans for hotter months, radiators, wall heaters and wood burner for the colder months.
2 powerful hot water showers with brand new boiler for multiple users and continuous hot water.
Beautiful sunsets just a few steps away. Step out of the house directly on to the sand. The sea reaches right up to the house 7 times a year !
House comes equipped with Alexa, hair drier, iron and board, toastie maker, 2 cafetiere, well stocked kitchen with sharp knives.

As a family we have been renting properties all over the island of Armona for 15 years, we found it when searching for safe places for children to swim in the algarve. In 2025 the stars aligned and we were able to purchase our own dream house on the Island and after many years of renting... we hope that our house ticks all the boxes !
Armona is a small car free sandy island situated in the Ria Formosa National Park, teaming with wild life, silver fishes, cheeky crabs, beautiful birds, sandy critters and so many amazing beautiful plants, the wide variety of interesting creative crazy properties is also so much fun to discover ! Even in the hot summer months there is a light breeze. The swimming is super safe for children and adults alike and is out of this world, the beaches are pristine and unspoilt, go slightly off the beaten track and you will find them quiet, even in August. We love to snorkel and kayak.... have gin & tonics at the beach bar, hang out at the secret lake / lagoon area, look for bats, ride the tide as it ebbs and flows in the lagoon, go clamming and so much more.
We are so happy to finally have our own special house on this Island and look forward to sharing it with our guests, who we think will want to come back again year after year :-))))

The weather, hot but not crazy hot in the summer, amazing beaches, wildlife, fantastic fish and veg markets in Olhao with the Saturday market being out of this world ! friendly Portuguese, small nice Faro airport and a holiday that brings a slower pace of life on this beautiful natural island with no cars and one main path ! bare foot bumbling around with sand and sun doesn't get any better !

Its a fantastic size in comparison to most of the houses we have stayed in in the past. It retains all its original Portuguese charms. The location is quiet. its close enough to walk to all of the Island being in the middle and super close to the main shop which is handy. it has lots of quirky character.
