You’ll also have easy access to the stunning North Coast 500 driving route, which takes you from Inverness along the coastal edges of the North Highlands. Don’t miss a trip to the battlefield at Culloden, 3 miles, Inverness Castle, 6.5 miles and – of course – the iconic Loch Ness, 13 miles, for your chance to spot the famous ‘monster’. Boat cruises of the lake start from Drumnadrochit, taking in the magnificent ruins of Urquhart Castle.
