Beautiful Luxury Farmhouse near York, Sleeps 8-11

A beautiful, 4/5 bedroom Farm House set in a rural location within 20 minutes drive from the city walls of York, 30 minutes from Harrogate and 45 from Leeds Bradford Airport. The house provides spacious accommodation both inside and out, with private gardens and extensive parking. It is perfect place for large families or groups to get together and relax.
We allow 2 well behaved dogs to stay, they must be kept on a lead at all times when they are outside.

The main part of the house has 4 bedrooms, 2 large en-suite bedrooms ( 1 king and 1 double) , another double and a twin sharing a large family bathroom. There is an option for a further single bed in the king ensuite room for a child.
There is also a self contained ground floor annex that’s sleeps 2 that can be opened up to create accommodation for 10/11 guests. This has direct access from the house and its own access from outside. It's fully fitted out with a double bed, sofa, TV kitchen and shower room.

The huge fully equipped kitchen offers views from the breakfast area over the large garden and countryside. There is a large dining room, snug and further large sitting room all tastefully furnished in a farmhouse style. The remainder of the property comprises of a utility / boot room and sun room.
There is a large private garden with various seating areas , dining areas and sun loungers. Parking at the farm can easily accommodate 5 vehicles.

Although this is not a working farm there is some activity at the location, but nothing that will disturb a peaceful getaway.

Neighbourhood highlights
The Farm House is situated within 5 acres of land, with only some horsey neighbours.. It is a rural location with the house just back from the main road.
There is a petrol station with small shop 5 minute drive away and a Chinese restaurant / takeaway, heading to York there are various small shops. For a large food store, Tesco Extra is around 15 minutes away on Clifton Moor.

Getting around
Cars
A car is fairly essential at this location, though taxis are of course possible. There is a fast EV charging station located at the Park and Ride 5 minutes away.

Bus
There is the 'Park and Ride' located 5 minutes away to get in to York, you need to drive to this.

Rail
York Station is 20 minutes away, by taxi.
Poppleton Train station is around 5 minutes by car, here you a get trains to Knaresborough, Harrogate, Leeds and York. There is very limited parking here.

Leeds centre 45 minutes
Leeds Bradford Airport 45 minutes

Some parts of the location are not accessible to guests, these will be clearly signed and we hope that guests respect this.
The old railway carriage in the grounds is not part of this accommodation.

2 dogs are allowed to stay with you at the property, we charge £30 per dog per stay. Please note that the dog(s) must be on a lead at all times when outside due to The Farmhouse being part of a small holding with free range chickens, sheep, pigs etc.
Also the grounds are not fully dog proofed therefore the dog could escape on to the road.

Please note: While log burners are present on the property, they have been permanently sealed and are not functional. For your safety and fire prevention, do not attempt to unseal, open, or light these units under any circumstances.

The Autograss racing track is located next to the farm, this can be noisy and dusty on race weekends. These are the confirmed dates for 2026 :
