Nestled away in South East part of Wales close to the Severn estuary. Laurel Cottage is a beautiful 2 bedroom holiday home which has everything you could possibly need for a rural escape away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Free parking with enough space for three vehicles, it has an enclosed garden allowing you to soak up the Welsh sunshine and is within easy reach of coastal scenery and historical towns such as Newport and Magor. Pets are welcome.



The Space:

Laurel Cottage is located on the grounds of Laurel House,. A 2 bedroom holiday home attached to the main building which is all located on one floor. As you enter the property you will find yourself in the warm, inviting hallway. To the right of this is the living area where you can relax on the sofa in front of the smart TV.



The spacious kitchen has everything you could need for this home from home, including cooker, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle and that all important Coffee Machine.



The first bedroom contains a comfortable King bed and ensuite. with shower. The second bedroom also has a comfortable King bed.



The bathroom with sky light contains a bath, over bath shower, basin and WC. There is a third WC as well as a handy utility room through which you can access the enclosed back garden.

The Neighborhood:

Nestled on the peaceful Gwent Levels, Laurel Cottage sits between the historic village of Redwick and the nearby town of Caldicot in southeast Wales. It feels wonderfully rural – wide open fields, big skies and quiet lanes – yet you’re only a short drive from major routes and Severn Tunnel Junction station.



A real highlight nearby is Caldicot Castle and Country Park, a Norman medieval fortress set in around 55 acres of parkland, with wooded trails, picnic spots and regular events – perfect for history lovers and families alike. Redwick itself is a charming little village with an ancient church and access to the Gwent Levels and Wales Coast Path, offering flat scenic walks past reens, farmland and estuary views – ideal for walking, cycling and bird-watching..



If it's a larger city you are seeking you can reach the centre of Newport in approximately 20 minutes or Bristol in half an hour with plenty of shopping, cafes and restaurants available.



With its blend of tranquil countryside, rich heritage and easy access to nearby towns and coastal landscapes, Laurel Cottage is the perfect base for a relaxing yet well-connected base for short family breaks, outdoor adventures or longer stays for the likes of contractors.

The property is in a rural location so public transport is sparse. There is free parking at the property for your vehicles.. The nearest railway station is Severn Tunnel Junction, about 6 km away
