5 Bed in Utterby (oc-t34067)
Located on the fringes of Utterby, this large family home is a great choice for multi-generational families or groups of friends looking to explore this delightful part of Lincolnshire. The house is set conveniently on the A16, making it easy to get out and about in the car if necessary, but also has direct access to the Wolds National Landscape for scenic walks. In Louth (4 miles), you’ll find a selection of independent retailers and places to eat and drink, as well as the renowned St James Church – with the tallest medieval parish church spire in England. Cadwell Park motor racing circuit is 10 miles away, while Cleethorpes is just 11 miles distant, a beautiful seaside resort with a wide, sandy beach, pier and narrow-gauge railway. At the Donna Nook National Nature Reserve, 11.5 miles away, you can see grey seals from late October to December.
This substantial brick house is tucked away behind a tall hedge and is set over two storeys. From the front door, turn right into the L-shaped lounge/kitchen/diner/utility – an impressive space that’s full of light and provides the opportunity for everyone to get together and socialise, whether preparing food, eating or relaxing. The cook will appreciate the array of appliances, which includes an induction hob, and there’s space at the dining table for everyone to spend time over hearty meals together – with a side helping of gorgeous views. A very handy utility area leading off the kitchen includes a fridge, freezer and washing machine. After supper, you can sink into the comfortable sofas and enjoy a show on the TV in the lounge, or head into the cosy snug, light the wood burner and curl up in front of the TV. Bookworms will love the small reading room that adjoins the snug – the perfect hideaway with your favourite novel. Beyond this lovely space is the master bedroom, with a sumptuous king-size bed, patio doors to the garden, a TV and large en-suite shower room (which also connects to the utility area). Head up to the first floor to find the remaining four bedrooms – three doubles and a single – and the family bathroom with a modern free-standing bath and a separate shower. On this level there’s also a separate WC.
One of the major benefits of this superb property is its generous lawned garden, accessed via bi-fold doors from the kitchen, which backs on to fields. As you breathe in the fresh air you can enjoy incredible views either from the outdoor furniture on the deck or the hot tub. The summerhouse has a bar area, and also provides a secure space for storing bikes or other gear. Finally, the driveway at the front of the property has space for up to four cars to park off-road.
