Take a rural break with family or friends at this welcoming holiday cottage set on a working farm in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside. A mile away, the local village pub offers hearty meals and a friendly atmosphere. For a relaxed morning or afternoon, stroll over to the Fulbeck Craft Centre and Cafe (1 mile), where you can browse handmade crafts and savour coffee and cake in charming surroundings. History lovers should visit Fulbeck Manor (1.5 miles), a beautiful estate that hosts regular craft and food fairs throughout the year. Lincoln (18 miles) is home to its famous cathedral and castle, as well as independent shops and riverside restaurants. Alternatively, travel to Newark (13 miles) for antique shops and cafes, or Easton Walled Gardens, Belton House and Grimsthorpe Castle. Also within easy reach is Caythorpe, well-know for it's World War II history and Arnhem celebrations, RAF Cranwell.
Arrive via a half-mile track to this rural cottage – a lovingly restored hideaway that promises warmth, comfort and character in every corner. Step through the porch/boot room into the bright kitchen, where an original bread oven creates a striking feature. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need, and there’s also a small table here for morning coffees or simple suppers. From the kitchen, head into the dining room, stylishly decorated with artwork from local creators at the nearby Fulbeck Craft Centre. Beyond this is the living room, with a welcoming wood burner, plush corner sofa, armchair, coffee table and TV. Patio doors open directly onto the rear garden, where a patio with a dining bench provides a lovely spot for meals with sweeping views. A convenient downstairs WC completes the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find three inviting bedrooms: a king-size room with far-reaching views towards Lincoln Cathedral, a double bedroom, and a twin room perfect for friends or younger guests. The newly fitted family bathroom awaits for a refreshing rinse after a day of discovery.
Outside, the cottage boasts a front patio with a bench and a private rear garden. The outdoor patio and dining space overlook open fields with spectacular 360-degree views. Private parking for two cars means you can come and go with ease.
