The perfect base for a big-group getaway, this quirky holiday home has much to impress, including its location on the southern tip of the Nidderdale National Landscape. Enjoy scenic walks from the doorstep. Nearby Chevin Forest Park is a nature reserve on the slopes overlooking market town Otley (1.5 miles) where you’ll find quaint cobbled streets and a fine choice of independent shops, historic inns and eateries. For a true taste of local life, a landmark pub on the edge of the park dates from the 18th century and serves up locally sourced food. For a more cosmopolitan vibe, the city of Leeds is 11 miles distant, while Haworth – famous for its association with the literary Brontë sisters and the preserved Keighley and Worth Valley Railway – is another must-see and only 13 miles away.
Renovated and redesigned with a focus on versatility and convenience, this unique property has a range of comfortable rooms where friends or family can enjoy time companionably. Stone walls and a glass roof add a sense of grandeur to the entrance hall. At one end there’s a handy ground-floor cloakroom; to the right, the lounge has a selection of soft seating, a Smart TV and a modern wood burner within a striking fireplace. Exposed beams and multi-aspect windows add to the wonderful sense of space here. The games room offers an alternative place to congregate; complete with a large sofa, pool table and Smart TV it’s perfect for wet-weather fun or as a hang-out for any youngsters in your group.
