Most charming, detached stone period cottage with large, pretty, private, enclosed walled garden in the centre of this historic small market town of Colyton between the coastal towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. A couple of minutes walk to the shops, inns and picturesque River Coly.

Sleeps 4 – 2 bedrooms (*convertible settee in second sitting room offers option to sleep up to 6).
Ground floor: Well presented. Comfortably furnished.
Lounge, Dining area, with exposed beams, door to rear private enclosed garden.
Well-fitted Kitchen with table and chairs.
Second Sitting Room, with option to use *4ft 6″ convertible settee as a be - if you wish to make use of this please indicate at the time of booking so that it can be made up. This is an attractive option for those who may find stairs difficult and has adjacent Shower Room with basin and WC.

A couple of minutes walk to the picturesque River Coly, with a beautiful level riverside walk. The ‘Stop’ for the famous open top tram running along the stunning Axe Valley to Seaton is a 10 minute walk.
Colyton is a great base for cycling, because of the area and the excellent Soanes Cycle Shop:

The popular small seaside town of Seaton with superb, spectacular beach, Esplanade, harbour, shops and golf course are all a 5-minute drive away. Spectacular cliff top walks on this Jurassic Coast to the pretty fishing village of Beer and onto Branscombe, cared for by the National Trust.
The coastal town of Lyme Regis with its famous Cobb of the French Lieutenants fame, interesting individual specialist shops, is a 15 minute drive over the Devon border into Dorset.
The small thriving market town of Axminster, famous for the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall ‘River Cottage Kitchen and Deli’, shops and weekly street market is a 15-minute drive away.
A most convenient and relaxing location for exploring the delights of this pretty area.
