A lovely hideaway in peaceful Middleton on the Wolds, this first‑floor retreat is perfectly placed for couples who want to explore some of East Yorkshire’s most charming towns and landscapes. Just a short drive brings you to Pocklington, home to the beautiful Burnby Hall Gardens, independent shops and a great choice of eateries. Beverley, only 9 miles away, offers a vibrant mix of boutiques, a weekly market, the impressive Minster and even a racecourse for a memorable day out. Driffield is also close by, with its friendly market town feel and easy access to local walking routes. For those who love the outdoors, the area is rich with scenic trails, from peaceful canal-side strolls to stretches of the Yorkshire Wolds Way and even a disused railway line that’s ideal for gentle cycling. If you fancy venturing further, the coast at Bridlington, the rolling Howardian Hills, and the historic city of York are all within easy reach, offering everything from sandy beaches to iconic landmarks and bustling streets. Hull, with its renowned aquarium and cultural attractions, is also just 17 miles away.
Arrive in Middleton-on-the-Wolds to find your comfortable bolthole is situated on the top floor of a lovely white-washed cottage. Let yourselves in, make your way up the stairs, and you’ll be in accommodation that brings the old and the new together with ease. The kitchen area has been equipped with everything you are likely to need and there is a breakfast bar set into the peninsula. Sit at the breakfast bar or lounge on the sofa with a favourite show on the TV or a DVD. The double bedroom is a cosy space, with a charming bed, ample storage and a pretty window seat.
