Bedroom: Galleried, Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Front garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bike store. 1 small dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are 2 steps in the garden.. This charming holiday cottage, tucked away in the quiet village of Ludborough, right on site where the Lincolnshire wold railway is and offers the perfect base for exploring the best of Lincolnshire.
Designed just for two, the property features a bright and cosy living area, a well-equipped kitchen, a modern downstairs shower room, and a private garden with beautiful open views across the surrounding countryside. Ideally located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds – a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – you’ll be surrounded by rolling hills, peaceful walking routes, and picture-perfect villages from the moment you arrive.Just a 10-minute drive away is the vibrant market town of Louth, often described as the “capital of the Wolds.” Here, you’ll find a wealth of independent shops, traditional butchers and bakers, cosy tearooms, many restaurants & pubs and historic buildings, including the striking St James’ Church. Louth’s regular markets and friendly atmosphere make it a favourite among locals and visitors alike. The Liversey Arms Pub & Restaurant in Ludorough village centre Is just a 15 minute walk and serves amazing food.
The Cross Keys Pub in Fulstow is roughly 25 minutes to walk, where you can find a nice ale and friendly Locals. (Food On Selected Days) For those craving sea air, the Lincolnshire coast is also within easy reach. Take a scenic drive to sandy beaches like Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea, or enjoy the traditional charm of Cleethorpes with its promenade, arcades, and freshly cooked fish and chips. The area is rich in wildlife too, with nearby nature reserves and coastal paths perfect for birdwatchers and photographers.Cyclists and walkers will love the quiet country lanes and scenic trails nearby, while history lovers can explore local attractions such as the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway – based right in Ludborough – or visit the aviation heritage sites scattered throughout the region.
