Urige Hütte auf der Holdens Creek Farm in Temperanceville VA. Erbaut auf unserer Farm im Jahr 2005. Das Hotel liegt weniger als 30 Minuten von der historischen Stadt Onancock, Assateague Beach, Chincoteague & NASA auf der Insel Wallops. Die Hütte verfügt über eine kleine Küche, ein Loft mit 3 großen Betten, Heizung, Klimaanlage und Kamin. Es hat auch einen Billardtisch und Dartscheibe. Bringen Sie ein Boot mit, es gibt eine private Bootsrampe und ein Dock, die in den Holdens Creek gehen, der zur Chesapeake Bay führt. Die Kabine ist ideal für Jäger, Fischer oder für jemanden, der sich zurücklehnen und an einem ruhigen Ort entspannen möchte.

Es ist herrlich gelegen absolut ruhig bis auf die Grillen und Vögel. Die Küche ist etwas zu klein aber es ist fast alles machbar. Die Einrichtung ist schön aber hier und da könnte mal was ausgetauscht werden oder alte Sachen aus den Schränken entsorgt werden. Die Ansprüche an Sauberkeit sollten nicht zu hoch sein in so einer Waldhütte aber ab und an dürften alle Möbel mal weggerückt werden und eine Grundreinigung gemacht werden. Uns hat es trotzdem gefallen vor allem auch der Billardtisch. Wir würden es definitiv noch einmal buchen.

This property is beautifully quiet and calm. We ate outside on the picnic table and enjoyed watching the birds in the marsh. The sound of the breeze through the grasses and leaves were lovely. The clawfoot bathtub was also great to soak in.

We had a wonderful time on our weekend stay here. The cabin was very nice and quite homey. Our vacation plans had to change due to weather but we were perfectly happy and comfortable hanging out at the cabin for most of a day to relax and unwind. Overall highly recommend and I’m sure we will be returning!

Beautiful cabin situated at the back of a farm, very peaceful. Very spacious and inviting. Only a half hour to Chincoteague and an hour to Ocean City. Nice porch with a swing and 2 chairs to sit out in the morning with a cup of coffee (coffee maker provided). We loved having a pool table for our evening entertainment. Only thing we didn't like was the very tiny kitchen, absolutely no counter space at all :(

eastern shore birding week

Great place to relax and rest after day of being out around the eastern shore. Felt like home with the quiet rural setting and away from city noise. Loved hearing the toad and barking tree frogs in the babbling brook every night. Highly recommend for those who prefer peace and quiet in rural settings.

peace and quiet in a tranquil setting

This cabin is in an impressive setting, with a babbling brook just outside the front door. The interior is charming and clean with country decor. The large bedroom and bathroom provide all the room and comfort needed. The owner was immediately responsive to a question. The kitchen is very small.

Very nice and fairly new property. A good value to get away from people and things. The only down side is there is not a lot to do around the area. After we saw Chincoteague island and the ponies, the NASA Museum at Wallops Island, Makemie Park (not a big deal and way too many bugs around there), the KOA Campground nearby, the town of Saxis, and the Great Machipongo Clam Shack (about an hour down the road). It was a bit too quiet for us. Then, we got a call that we needed to come home for a family matter. Checking out was very easy and no hassles. A good location if you want to get away from people and things. Hosts were very pleasant and courteous.

Cozy cabin

It's quiet and clean ..you have heat air condition water Wi-Fi and two televisions..The bathroom is upstairs.. food and grocery stores are nearby.. a nice pier with nice dinner places in Chincoteague about 15 minutes away

Quiet retreat

It was a very wonderful quiet retreat for the weekend. We had issue with no hot water when we arrived, after contacting the property manager we had a resolution in the hour. On our second day arriving back from our outings the temperature in the cabin was hotter than outside and was uncomfortable. I contacted the property manager and he let me know he would have it looked at around 2 hour later we had the ac fixed and it dropped to a comfortable temperature. It was a wonderful place to stay even when the issue popped up they were resolved promptly. Definitely a top choice for staying in the area.

Valentines Day Getaway!

Rented this awesome cabin to spend Valentines Day with spouse and friends. The cabin was more than we expected. There’s a cute bar area, tons of comfortable seating, gas fireplace, cool decorations including antique items, beautiful property, and much more. There was lots of essentials already there so we only brought food. The pool table and dart board gave us plenty to do in addition to the tvs both in living room and bedroom. The host answered all my questions in a timely manner and I had a lot. Everything was ready when we got there and we would definitely come back again. Just one note to potential visitors. The steps to the loft where beds and bathroom is located are a little intimidating if afraid of heights, or allowing a small child to walk/crawl up them. It also got quite warm upstairs but the host had signs to assist in resolving this issue. There is a house that you can see from cabin but nobody bothered us. The kitchen is very small but has everything you need to cook, wash dishes and some prep work but the fridge is full size with ice maker.Thanks Karen for being super patient and allowing us to share this cabin with you!

Quiet and peaceful

Everything was just wonderful! Out in the country off the beaten path, but close enough to towns to be convenient. Yes, the kitchen is small but we don’t vacation to stay in and cook. Too many good restaurants to go to in Chincoteague alone. Owners were always responsive throughout the process from asking questions before booking to our last day there. We will definitely keep this one on our list of future places to stay!
