Salty Bottom is a stunning barn conversion, in the heart of the super popular coastal village of Salthouse. Situated just two minutes walk from the wonderful village pub and shop and a short walk to the beach, this is the perfect house for family gatherings, multi-generational groups and holidays with friends. With four en suite bedrooms, including a downstairs bedroom, a wonderful open plan living / dining space, large kitchen, courtyard garden, elevated grass garden area and parking for four cars; Salty Bottom is fantastic house to make memories together on the North Norfolk Coast.
On entering the barn, you are welcomed into the grand entrance hall with galleried landing and vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. This leads you into the main open plan living space. A large room with a wooden floor and exposed beams, in which to gather together, with a large L-shaped sofa and comfy armchairs arranged around the wood burning stove and TV and a fabulous dining table, big enough for everyone, with benches on either side behind the living room area which leads into the kitchen. The downstairs loo is between the kitchen and the dining room.
The impressive kitchen has a vaulted, beamed ceiling and is flooded with natural light from the double height windows. There is a central island with a breakfast bar and even a sofa, making this 'heart of the home' a sociable space to create culinary treats. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and luxurious, with granite work tops, a range style oven with electric hob and ovens beneath, a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and a washer drier.
Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom, with frosted glass windows to the front of the barn, a double bed, bedside tables and lamps, a desk and built in wardrobe. The en suite has a walk in shower enclosure, wash hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
Upstairs there are three further large en suite bedrooms, all arranged off a wide hallway leading from the galleried landing.
The first bedroom at the top of the stairs, features a king size bed with bedside tables and lamps, original beams, windows out to the front of the barn, built in wardrobe cupboard and chest of drawers. The en suite has a bath with shower over, double sink, bidet, WC, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
The second bedroom has a king size sleigh bed with bedside tables & lamps, partly beamed and vaulted ceiling, window out to the side with a built in wardrobe cupboard and chest of drawers. The en suite has a corner bath with hand held shower attachment, twin sinks, bidet, WC, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
The third bedroom as twin beds, which can be made up as super king, with bedside tables and lamps, a window out to the side, built in wardrobe and chest of drawers. The en suite has a walk in shower enclosure, WC, sink, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
Outside
Approached from the lane across a shared driveway, Salty Bottom has four parking spaces and an EV Charger (available at an extra charge). The entrance gate leads down wide steps into the generous courtyard garden with planted borders. There is a dining table and eight chairs to enjoy some al fresco dining or a morning coffee and a benched area to the front of the barn to brush off sandy toes.
There is an elevated grass garden leading away from the courtyard, which is fully enclosed and perfect for four legged family members to have a bit of a scamper around.
