Mosswood Cottage

A traditional townhouse with heritage flair Mosswood Cottage is just a 2 minute walk from Rye citadel and train station. With handcrafted design inspired by the English countryside and Victorian designers with the goal to create a welcoming home. A curated retreat for families, couples and solo explorers, whether it’s venturing into rural landscapes or discovering the diverse eateries and cafes Rye has to offer this self-catering property provides the perfect refuge to explore southern England.

The space
The property consists of a kitchen/dining room, two bedrooms, an upstairs shower-room and downstairs WC along with a lounge, reading nook and outdoor courtyard. Kitchen appliances consist of an American style fridge-freezer, dishwasher, cooker hood, multi-fuel gas and electric oven with 5 stoves and a grill, toaster and instant hot water tap. Other appliances include a washing machine, smart TV and thermostat. There is also a woodburner within the small dining area which guests are welcome to use, however we advise only using the wood-burner between the months of September and May to ensure the chimney is able to draw properly. Extra wooden logs are available for an additional charge.

Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms across two floors, one on the upstairs floor and one in the attic room. The first floor bedroom consists of a double bed while the second floor bedroom can be configured as either a single, two singles or a double bed upon request. We also offer a blow up bed for an extra charge to accommodate 5 guests staying at the property, this additional fee will be automatically added to your booking when selecting 5 guests.

Washrooms
The downstairs WC consists of a toilet and basin while the upstairs bathroom also includes a walk-in shower.
