Gerakas Beach is just a short walk from Aquatic, making lazy days by the water almost inevitable.
The sand here is fine and pale, the sea clear and calm. A taverna (350m) and mini-market (450m) are close by, so breakfast could begin with warm bread, local honey and coffee on the terrace as you figure out how to spend your day on this beautiful island...

Set within its own gardens, Aquatic is one of three sister villas designed to offer both privacy and connection. Each villa stands on its own, yet it’s an easy stroll across the landscaped grounds to share meals, swims or happy evenings together. It’s ideal for extended families or friends travelling as a group.

Inside, the interior wouldn’t look out of place in an interior design magazine; large windows frame sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, cool stone floors and pale wood keep the spaces airy, and the layout is uncluttered. Chefs will love the well-appointed kitchen, and the two bedrooms - set up as doubles or a double and twin - each have their own shower room.

The terrace is the heart and soul of the villa. Roman steps lead into the pool, and a shaded outdoor dining area offers respite from the heat. Memorable meals around the built-in barbecue – with platters of grilled fish and vegetables and a bottle of island wine – are accompanied by gentle evening breezes.

Gerakas Beach (800m) is part of Zakynthos Marine Park and a nesting site for the endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtle. Visit between July and October and you may be lucky enough to see hatchlings making their first journey to the water, a rare and moving sight.

Beyond the beach, there’s plenty to explore: boat trips to sea caves and shipwrecks, or secluded coves only accessible by water. Vasilikos, a short drive away, offers traditional tavernas and all amenities.
